  1. Tell you what - call it £20? If it's anymore I'll swallow it, it it's any less I'll refund you - that sound fair?
  2. I wouldn't have a problem posting to Belfast, but it would cost slightly more.
  3. There was a test done years ago on DW by L200Steve (I think) of a wide range of snowfoams and the one that came out top - HyperWash! Not even a snowfoam just a cheap shampoo. Also read an article years back by Mike Phillips about the damage jet washes do so that's what put me off them. Like I said I was very much into my detailing a while back - snowfoam, 2 BM etc and since I've come up with my own wash routine I've honestly not noticed any increase in the amount or severity of the marring on my paintwork. It's all subjective anyway - what works for me probably wouldn't work for a lot of others :)
  4. I don't believe swirls can be avoided 100% but I have noticed a significant reduction since I stopped using a jet wash.
  5. Haha - have to disagree there Sean. Personally I think it's even more of a gimmick than ONR.
  6. I don't use my car through the winter and it never really gets that dirty so I wouldn't really know myself, but there's plenty of people on Detailing World who use it all year round. But then I'd never use a jet wash anywhere near my car ever again either
  7. The thing is I've know what goes on behind the scenes which makes watching it a chore and I've had first hand experience of Mike Brewer being a bellend
  8. Like I said above in the early days it was all staged - one of the cars was "bought" off the sound man, another was "sold" to a girl in our sales department. I've known Edd for 25 years and he is one of the nicest people you will ever meet. Mike Brewer on the other hand...
  9. Got a loft full of unbuilt kits. Went through a stage of buying 3-4 a month then got given my mates collection when he moved house. Never have time to build them but keep telling myself "One day, when the kids are older..." Got shed loads of Scalextric track and cars too and I mean LOADS, boxes and boxes including pit lanes, buildings, crowds etc. Again - one day :D
  10. I'm quite into my detailing and I use a type of waterless wash - Optimum No Rinse and I find it excellent. Certainly doesn't inflict any more swirls or marring than my old two bucket method. A lot depends on technique?

    Battery Jacket

    Buuuuuuurrrrrrmmmmmmmppppppp
  12. Edds a partner in the show mate. He does ok out of it, trust me. You've got to bear in mind this is telly - it's only a few seasons ago that the production company started insisting they actually sell the cars.

  15. I really don't get how or why people install stereos like this. I've had decent stereo setups in every car I've had and when I've sold the car, you'd never know I'd been there.
  16. The rear wheel bearings are supposed to have a wee bit of play in them and a lot of MOT testers see this as a fail. I'm lucky my MOT man is very friendly - won't let anything obviously dangerous go but isn't overly fussy about silly things
  17. Do you know what - if I take my foam off and my bonnet looks like that underneath, the foams going straight on eBay (with a bargain £150 Buy It Now)
  18. Fuse as close to the battery as possible (certainly within 12") and the earth as short as possible. Again less than a foot if possible.
  19. Haha easily done Sean but good news it's nothing serious. They were excellent figures you turned out at Stealth and your car looks awesome mate, really does :)

    Who's your insurer?

I'm with HIC - 42yo, 10+ years NCB, 3k limited mileage, garaged, all mods declared, no idea about my postcode being good or bad and mine was £173. I did add full European breakdown cover last year for going to Austria, which if I remember was an extra £30. The AA wanted £160 on top of my annual cover for the week! The previous year I insured with Lancaster and outlined to them the mods I was planning on over the winter "That's no problem Sir, just let is know when you have done them and we'll add them to your policy" "No we can't cover uprated brakes, no we can't cover changed seats, no we can't cover modified exhausts, no we can't cover two-piece alloy wheels, no we can't cover non factory screen wash..." Went through hell trying to cancel the policy and trying to get my money back with them going back and listening to the original phone call etc. Eventually they agreed to refund me as the policy was mis sold, then tried to charge me £50 admin fee for cancelling!
  21. agb1980 - AGB - Andrew Gerald Boyce? Just a guess :D
