How did you manage that alex? been a bit heavy handed. Id take the inlet off a use a tap to remove the old one but try remove it first using small screwdriver,it might be lose enough to get out
-
yeah only does 300 miles to a 600 litre diesel tank. But its a fun 300 miles!
-
If its a PG engine,it has raised letters PG on the back off the block and 1.8 on the front.or other way around Could also be a IH engine with slighty smaller bore

Just had vehicle signed over to me on friday, not bad only 1800 miles on the clock

Made me chuckle all the way home!!

i was getting mega p!$$ed off with vague, wallowy suspension and deffo got to change top mounts. So started saturday morning and ll my work came to a aburpt halt when trying to remove the ABS sensor that had been on there 21 years decided to snap on me!!!!!! :bonk: The steering wheel is now 30 degree to the left but all the slack in the suspension is gone had the car goes into the corners like its on rails I was quite surprised, the gas shocks are very good on the front. They still transmit what the tyres are doing on the road but bumps are not back jarring, bouncely, mess it was!!! i highly recommend them to people who like standard height and comfort but firm control of the car.Prob about 1 % people in here that actually stayed oem height! The oil in the OEM dampers was black but dampers were in good nick so fresh oil and new seals theyll be good as new if i do want to return fully OEM The top mounts were in very bad condition, left one the bottom of the disc was ready to fall out.Looks like it was oirginal too! You can see the difference between the two

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=p2Nb0Ienv6k Not so lucky as big crash even though he walked away but have a look at the tyre thats airbourne and the camera man!

Have had something similar happen at high speed on the autobahn in my raddo going around a sweeping bend when rear end kicked out followed by a tokyo style drift.I stopped at the next rest area to slow heart rate down!Mark kept driving!respect!

Will you be near suffield, alberta around april next year? ill be be to have a look at it then when im training over there for three months! Low in power is a very vague description.is it misfiring?,stalling?,smell of fuel in the exhaust?,low power at high or low RPM? does it stutter?any smoke from exhaust?check the following 1)basic stuff, filters, oil level, oil condition, belts arent slipping, the ecu hose is exactly one meter long with solid rubber ends(not soft and fraied),bue temp sender 1)Have you checked all the boost hoses?Boost leaks?Does it still have factory silencer box(black one, right hand side of g-lader)they leak lots of boost. 2)Grab a tester, switch it to ohms, disconnect co pot and measure outside pins.500 ohms in factory setting,300 is very rich,700 very lean.turn plug, you want about 450 to 550. your really supposed to use CO tester and set it correctly however ive done it this method and achived 0.01% CO on idle! 3)You have to open the ecu and check chip itself,it should have a 9 or 10 digit number on a cream coloured strip on top.Is it changed for differnet setup?what fuel grade does it need?you need premium anyway.9 out of 10 g60s will have a aftermarket chip in them. 4)if he has retimed the timing what is it set to?has he set it to 8 degree before TDC using timing gun? different cams have different settings.generally a lumpy idle means a high lift cam that makes power high up the rpm band.low end wont have much go. If you can smell gas in the engine bay, stop running your car and find the leak which is most likely to be the fuel hose bent into shape of U at right side of the fuel rail.they crack and leak fuel over time.could even be the reason for low power as you maybe not getting enough fuel pressure Happy hunting

Whats the worst thing youve done to ur corrado
dannyboy replied to CorradoDriver's topic in General Car Chat
Set one on fire, oh dear :bonk: -
What do women and clouds have in common? As soon as they f**k off its going to be a brighter day!
-
Nope, just sensor to tell coolant level is low.Dont think a car company would go to that extreme to test coolant specific gravity.

Sounds stupid, but is there a harness/connector in the engine bay for digital clocks if the original one had older mechanical drives? ive searched and not found any. Ive had a set of digital clocks sitting in the shed for 4 years now because harness doesnt exist on older model. Im sure someone going to shoot me down here! lol

 Wish i had a warning tone for the rado when my wife drives it,her excuse for running out off petrol is "No light came on!" or "it didnt make noise to warn me!".Women
-
ill get it to work,i just have to keep saving.Requires quite a bit of fabrication but not impossible.Im pretty sure someone out there has tried this before. whats the torque like on that V8? bet it puts a smile on your face when you floor it and taken off when you look at the fuel guage afterwards
-
funny is was looking S4s and RS4 today at the posibility of shoehorning one of these into my other rado with rear wheel drive. Not a V8,but still the same bad boy attiude!
-
oh,cracking motor danny.Wish i had the dosh to afford one !

The halex system malfunctions if the tyres are not same diameter, cause the wheel sensors senses rear wheels is spinning faster than front ones or vise versa.so its aways trying to send power back and forward constantly.halex system starts overheating.
-
greeny is lying, its in the exhaust! No seriously check the connector that clips to the expansion tank is on properly and pins are making good contact. Dont know, can you change sensor separately or to do you need to change whole expansion tank?cant remember

yands, german post is slower than british one, believe me!i ordered set of front and rear SKF bearings for my g60 and they took three weeks to turn up.The supplier was in berlin and i live near hannover.only about 280km away Rule of thumb with german post,if it says 3 days delivery, add 7 days to it!
-
Not 100% sure but i think that wire is used as a diagnostic feed to the ecu.Tells the ecu if the lamba sensor is busted
-
any problems with noisey tappets or knocking? maybe guage is telling lies? 6 bar cold engine is tad high on idle, but 6 bar on warm idle is not good. should be around- cold idle 4-5 bar warm idle 1.5-2 bar high load 5-6 bar

have a look at the oil pressure switch on top of the oil filter housing, i had a leak on my gti before that turned out to be oil coming out of the electrical connector itself for the pressure switch.didnt get a oil warning either.dont know how common it is but it has happened to me
