Thanks mate, I've actually been very lucky/mad as I now have 3 sets, I got offered a set a few weeks ago on a Facebook page, so I bought them, then the above ones popped up for a good price so I couldn't say no. Then earlier today I collected a brand new set, hens teeth indeed 8)

What's your plans for them mate? You gonna break them or save them/one?
-
Well spotted mate, it came from Falkirk. Quickest and easiest sale I've ever had, the car spoke for itself though

Thanks mate, it's certainly been a while since you've been on. I hope you are well. I'm quite torn over selling this, as it's very nice, but I've got my Storm coming back from paint soon plus I have my future daily(Red VR6) keenly waiting for me to reassemble the underside as I have all the bits sitting there. And to add to the confusion, I've bought a dual control car as I'm retraining as a driving instructor(redundancy looming), and I need to drive the thing in the hope of passing the upcoming exams :)

Sadly not mate, the trumpet with the screw is still available from heritage though, the one without isn't I don't think but fairly sure you could use the same one with the screw removed? Here https://www.vwheritage.com/535823555-nipple-for-bonnet-cable

1990 Corrado 1.8 16v , Pearl Green 130k , full service history up to 121,000 Somewhere about 128,000 it was taken off the road and was dry stored in a nice garage for about 14/15 years. I got this last year as a non runner, I changed both fuel pumps, fuel accumulator, also did full service, all fluids, new distributor and cap, new leads, new coil, also new n/s driveshaft (easier than doing the outer cv), new n/s track rod arm and end. Mk4 rear calipers with ss flexi's fitted, rear bearings replaced. I've been using it as a daily for the last 3-4 months and it's been faultless. This is easily the best condition one I have(I have 4 more) but I need to be driving something for work soon and sadly this just won't work. No rust on the body to speak of, not that I've found anyway, any inspection welcome. It does have a couple of bad points, the drivers seat is a bit rough, I do have the cloth off a passenger one in the same material which I'll include as I just don't have the time for upholstery repairs. The bonnet does need a respray due to laquer peeling, the previous owner dropped something on it at the front causing a small dent that also cracked the laquer, which is now peeling due to it being used. I had planned to get this done but again it's down to time, not easy to get it painted while using it daily. I also have a timing belt and a water pump, plus a set of used fk coilovers that will come with the car , if I get close to what I'm looking for. Price is £1800 ono Any questions fire away Thanks Martin

The front ones are corrado specific, and I've seen these reach into the £90's on eBay, so £70 isn't a million miles out. It's a simple case of if you want it bad enough you'll pay it. I have a few of these(not for sale) and I also bought one of each from Renewart on Facebook, very nice replicas

We can wait until tonight if you want

That's not good mate, not fancy an early 16v Corrado in your favourite colour? ;)
-
Hi Anna, Happy to help :) Cheers Martin
-
I've got this one, it's very basic compared to what else is out there, but so far I've not been defeated as yet. https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/132158957869 Loving your mods btw, all way better than I could make:)
-
Wouldn't mind seeing those mods mate. I think mine will either end up on castors or chopped down to fit on the bench.
-
Well done Anna, many thanks for sorting this out 8)

Ha ha, you are worse than me
-
Nice to see you still on here Wullie, how are the ants? :)
-
Ha ha, thanks mate, it's murder trying to keep on top of all the stuff I have, plus the heating is magic in the winter, makes it a pleasure to be out lying under a car when it's -2 outside. Plus, that's only half the garage  and there are also 2 sheds

Cheers Chris :)

Got a few bits done on the forgotten Twilight in my quest to get it out the Garage, rear hubs reassembled using the stuff from the Red vr, just so I can get wheels on. Cracked the bolts on the subframe.....why 18mm bolts??? and unbolted the steering rack. Engine mounts unbolted. I'll drop it off tomorrow and if I'm lucky time wise I'll try and start putting the front all back on.
