You know me too well

Ha ha, I guess it depends on what you mean by big :) It's the front facing part of the vdo gauges that fit in the cubbyhole under the ashtray

Bit of a random question. Could you map something and 3D print a mirror image of it? Reason I ask is, I have something that is for a lhd that I would like to somehow fit into a rhd
-
Hi, yes I still have a few. I notice you are in Finland, is yours a right hand drive? Only asking as I can only confirm these will fit the rhd models. They may well fit lhd but I've got no way of knowing?

This is the one I bought , at least I'm fairly sure it is, it's a while ago but I followed the link from on here and I'm sure it was someone with the proper knowledge as I tend to listen to people in the know. I know it states that the fronts are for 312mm but if I remember correctly, the 288mm hoses are the same? https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/110749814466

I have a set for this setup from Goodrich still in the box, I'll dig them out later on and get you some pictures and sizes

I removed a couple of VR6 front bearings at the weekend and they had no lip and the replacement ones also have no lip (febi)

Hopefully mate :)

Lovely sunny day today, I've been up early patiently waiting for the elusive track rod assembly for the 16v, but still no sign. So as I was outside I though I might as well do something productive......
-
Fingers crossed it goes ok mate, I love all the pictures as I'm sure at some point I'll be at similar points and to be able to see stuff is such a help:)

Cheers Dox, looks like force is the answer then. I've actually got the new driveshaft fitted already, and it was very straightforward.......very surprising for me
-
Looks great to me :)

Ha ha, I was hoping for some finesse before getting the persuader involved:lol:
-
The hub itself is easy enough to get the rest of the bearing out of
-
On another note, I've been trying to strip down some VR front hubs and I'm struggling to remove part of the bearing that gets stuck on and I can't get a puller on at there is next to no lip on the offending bit Middle part pressed out Leftover bit Can anyone tell me an easy way to get this off?..... I have 4 like this

New boot and clips ready for the track rod......if it arrives:)
-
Couple of wee updates coupled with a question or 2 :) The 16v, which is now my daily driver developed a clunk when pulling away, so a quick investigation found a burst cv boot on the n/s and the wheel coated in lovely black grease. As the driveshaft looked quite rough and the inner cv being as old as the outer I decided to get a driveshaft from j&r with both cv's already on it. Then I went to swap it over, all the bolts came out ok but in a schoolboy error I tried to remove the track rod end bolt to remove the hub so I could get the driveshaft out......I broke the track rod end bolt......and I couldn't get the end off the rod, completely seized with rust. So I had to order a full new track rod and end, which still hasn't arrived. I bought the removal tool, which made the job very easy although I did have to cut through the rod to use it

Ha ha, I know mate, but I've got that many , everything finds a home......eventually:lol:

Ha ha, I know mate, I enyoy the banter. Not sure it's dedication , more like, in need of medication:lol:
-
Another vote for the Irwins, I'd be lost without mine......helped me get 2 driveshaft bolts out at the weekend, which were totally rounded out in the middle
-
 To be fair, this post was half an hour old by the time I spotted it , if you're not fast....you know the rest ;)

Sorry mate, I've been looking for one for a while too
