I remember reading on here some time ago that you could swap one of the relays that controls the windows for a MK3 Golf item that enabled you to roll down both windows at once. Pretty sure it also gave you "one touch" closure as well as opening on them too? Anyone else read that? Or was I dreaming of the C again? :D

It'll also depend a lot on the offset (ET) of the replacement alloys. The lower the ET number, the further the outer edge of the rim will protrude. HTH.

I'm guessing its a grommet? :D

Ha! Sounds familiar! My previous C had a habit of embarrasing me at inopportune moments like that, like a naughty child. Thankfully the VR is much better behaved.

It is a little concerning to see the prices so low, but it's only a problem if you intend selling up. Which I don't. OK, so the C may be a little dated, but for me, that's where all its charm comes from. New cars just do not do it for me at all. (Unless of course it's something completely out of budget, Lambo etc)

Evenin all, I've managed to acquire a pair of Audioscape pods for the VR, and I'm wondering whats best to fill them with, and whether to use an amp or not? Done various searches, and Focal, Infinity and MB Quartz seem to be a popular choice, but the question is, if, for instance, I go for the Focals, would I need a seperate amp? I'm not after earthshakin amounts of volume, just want some clean punchy bass. I plan to use some soundproofing in the doors while its in bits, which should keep some of the sound in. So, what do people recommend with regards to amping or not? Oh and any fitting tips for the pods would be great too! :D Cheers all! :salute:

Dunno, gear ratios maybe? Been in a colleagues V5, unimpressed tbh, just seemed dull. For me, it'd have to be 1) R32 2)V6 4MO 3)Mapped up 18T Admittedly the new TDi's are good, but just wouldn't want to own an oil burner...

Have you not removed/cleaned/wet&dried them? Or have you done all that but are painting outside?

Good going Jim! I drove my Dad's mates XK8 the other week and have to say I was unimpressed to say the least. Sluggish wallowy and overweight was my general opinion, I'm assuming it was the 290bhp? It felt slower than the VR, probably just less agile though I suppose. Very fortunate to be offered a drive in one of those at work though! I bet you were lovin it?!

Hello and welcome! Sounds like your already looking in the right places, you could also try the classifieds over at Edition 38's forum. Make sure you view a few before you buy to kind of get a benchmark of what to expect. In the Knowledge Base on here there is a good buying guide, so get a printout of that to take. I'm relatively new to VR6 ownership, having a KR engined valver before my VR, and believe me, you won't be dissapointed! Good luck with the search!! :D

You should have: Time Travelled Average MPG Average Speed Distance Travelled Ambient (outside) Temp Oil Temp You should have a number 1 & number 2 setting on the stalk Number 1 is readings from your current journey. Number 2 is overall readings since you last reset Reset number 1 by sliding and holding switch to the left Reset number 2 by sliding and holding the switch to the right If the display doesn't change when you press the button on the end in, it sounds like maybe a dodgy stalk I'm sure I've read on here that you can check boost pressure and other charger related stuff using the MFA on the G60's, wouldn't know for sure though as I've got the VR6... Someone may be along shortly to set that straight. Hope this helps chap! :D
