1. As title, looking for the top radiator cover for a VR6, the one with the stickers on. Thanks
2. Hmm, I bought an S3 to replace the VR6 in 2005. I swapped it for the R32 in 2008 and again for the TT in 2010. But through all of that I kept the Corrado as we couldn't bring ourselves to sell it, we're now committed to keeping it forever! Good luck staying away!!!
3. We had one for three years, blue, three door with leather interior. As others have said they're not the best on fuel, 24/25 is about all you can expect day to day. Seats are not the most comfortable compared to the Recaros we had in the S3 we swapped for the 32 or those in the Corrado. Interior creaks and rattles endlessly, just came to accept that in the end. But, we loved the car, great sound, especially with a Milltek fitted, decent handling (considering it's a Mk4 Golf), good grip and a great engine. We only sold it in favour of a Mk2 3.2 TT, same drive, less rattles!
4. I'll take it mate, are you around this weekend? PM me your address for collection. Thanks
5. Interested in the passenger door, what's your best price for it? Thanks
6. Planning to have my interior re-trimmed this year and thought I might future proof the seat heating with modern carbon fibre elements, does anyone know if these can be controlled using the existing switches/controllers, I'd prefer to retain the original switches at least?
7. Knew I'd find it, the second time! http://the-corrado.net/showthread.php?69365-Boom!-Bye-bye-sunroof!&highlight=sunroof
8. I thought you were being sarcastic this time......I'm still not convinced
9. That's the third time we've heard this, and every time Jim has been caught out........love it! I have however never heard of it happening on any other car but surely there must be others???
10. I have my old ones but as I'd bought all new door/boot seals I was trying to get new if possible......thanks
11. I like the sound of that option, any idea if that was the first or second new beetle?
12. Listed as discontinued on VW Heritage and Classic Parts.de, I thought I had found one in the States but that seems to be a blind alley. There must be some kicking about that people will never use???
13. Looking for a left side outer window scraper seal in readiness for the car coming out of the paint shop next week, anybody have one laying around???
14. Once again it has been an age between updates, almost two years this time during which my car has sat in the corner of the paint shop. Suddenly there's action and it's coming home next weekend
15. Don't suppose you still have both do you, what condition if you have them?
16. Happy new bike. Looks like Jeffries, got my GSA from there a few Christmases and 45,000 miles ago, still going strong, can't go wrong with a Beemer! Roll on the good weather, I was out on mine yesterday to fetch the turkey and avoid traffic, rather damp!
17. Wish mine hadn't been nicked off the grille now!
18. Blue H reg G60 on A63 west out of Hull yesterday. Looking good, made me jealous mine is still in the paint shop!
19. I bodged an old Mk4 Golf seat into mine to take it into the paint shop while my interior is re-trimmed. It was an easy cut and weld job as you suggest but as others say they sit too high in the car to be of any use......look elsewhere!
20. In addition to all the ones Chris has from Summer 96 to March 2001 I have issue number 1 from April 96, it is however simply two double sides of A4 stapled together in one corner! I also have: June 2001 (Issue 19) August 2001 (Issue 20) October 2001 (Issue 21) December 2001 (Issue 22) February 2002 (Issue 23) May 2002 (Issue 24) July 2002 (Issue 25) September 2002 (Issue 26) November 2002 (Issue 27) I can scan them and send them to you Jim, you'll soon regret offering to upload them!
21. Don't know for sure about the Mk1 as we have a Mk2 TT but if it's like every other VAG we've owned the water issue is more about getting it to drain out rather than stopping it getting in..........There should be a small drain hole in the bottom of the rubber fuel tank surround, it's probably blocked up with years of crud. Bit of a prod and poke and all should be OK!
22. I'll take the other please, PM me some details and I'll paypal you the money.......thanks
23. Merry Christmas everyone!
24. He doesn't post very often these days but the words of wisdom when he does are priceless!
