  1. I don’t know if anyone else has had the same as I did. The lamp on at cold and off if restarted when warm along with reading wheel speed and valve faults was much the same as I’ve read countless times. If however I’d warmed up and reset the lamp, it would come back on without fail at 74mph, something I’ve never seen mentioned elsewhere? It’s all been stripped out though now as I gave it up for Teves 20, I can’t recommend that enough as it appears to just work without any drama. It is a bit of a faff to install mind!
  2. I’d never have thought of Calver Crossroads...bet Duckmanton’s more than that then!
  3. I normally fill the TT and Corrado up at the Ollerton Shell station and didn’t really notice the price, then I was at the Red House a couple of weeks ago and it was 13p a litre cheaper!!! I bet at £1.44 you were at Euro Garages in Duckmanton?
  4. Unless they’ve specifically asked you to leave it while they collect fingerprints, I think I’d just get on and have it fixed. Are you supposed to wait without a car? Crossmember bushes shouldn’t be too big of a job Hasan, unless you have plans to do a paint job while you’re in there. They are some of the easier bushes. Could always use it as an excuse for a decat pipe!!!
  5. I got mine spot on last year, Teves 20, 288s and Mk4 rears. Had the callipers at Bigg Red over the winter and can’t bleed them up for trying now! It’s not the first time I’ve been frustrated by Corrado brakes in the last 26 years, they’ll come good given a bit of time!
  6. Sorry to hear this Hasan, there are some real scrotes out there for sure. Police won’t give a flying f**k about it, hardly worth picking the phone up, in fact they’re more likely to come and nick you for daring suggest that pikeys have been hanging around and might have been involved. Sad indication of where we’ve got to that people feel they’re ok to do this.
  7. My first Corrado had manual windows as standard and I’m fairly sure it didn’t have switch blanks. I’ll take a look for any photos of it that might have caught the door cards when I’m home later in the week but probably won’t have anything, I traded it for the current one over twenty years ago so I was from a time when photos were taken on film and had to be developed!
  8. Lancia Delta Integrale…I almost bought one twenty years ago, immaculate for 10K, would be worth at least three times that now, or I would have sold it nineteen years ago for 5K in desperation. I’m realistic too!!!
  9. This is the only photo I have on my phone, it isn’t great but it might help.
  10. I don’t have a picture Hasan and would you believe that after it’s been in the air on axle stands all winter I put it on the floor Wednesday so maybe a bit difficult to squeeze the phone in for a photo! I made a plate similar to the one Keyo has made although shorter, and whilst I can’t remember exactly how, it uses the same fixing as the horn bracket to bolt it to the chassis leg. I seem to remember there’s a stud fixed to the leg there or something similar. I had the controller fixed to the front of the fan controller bracket.
  11. Not for the Schrick any more as I sold it when I went OBD2 but I still have the reservoir for the climate control. It’s fitted inside the bumper to the front of the left arch liner with the horns, there was loads of space going unused!

    Hello

  13. When you tried the new ignition switch with a screwdriver, did you have your key in the reader coil for the immobiliser? That may have prevented it starting, long shot maybe, as mentioned above immobiliser faults are normally identifiable as the engine fires and starts to pick up revs before cutting out.
  14. My mistake, thought I had remembered that you’d managed to turn up another lucky spare for the price of a bacon sarnie or something!
  15. There are a few on eBay at around the £65 mark, all European sellers. I shopped around breakers etc but ended up buying from eBay in Latvia or some place after weeks of turning nothing up. I do remember that easypops managed to locate one, but then he always does!
  16. Five years seems like a long time but when you’ve owned your current Corrado 21 years and have no plans of parting with it you still need to make plans for the future!
  17. Did anyone else notice the news earlier this week that from September normal unleaded E5 fuel is to be replaced with E10? Apparently super unleaded will remain only 5% ethanol for five more years before following suit which means if you're already using V-Power or similar you'll be OK for the moment but the days are numbered. What needs swapping on the Corrado to ensure it'll not start leaking like a sieve come the changeover?
  18. A few years ago I’d picked up a new roof lining from Chris Ferry and on getting home put it in the garage on the “Too Hard” pile. Walked around it for a year employing all manor of delaying tactics until I bit the bullet one day and got stuck in…it was swapped inside about 20 minutes, no drama!
  19. That’s what I like to see, a bit of ingenuity. Glad they’re in, at least you’re comfortable in the knowledge it’s a one time job and you’ll not be pressing more in there in the near future!
  20. I ran 268s with the Schrick and never really thought it was that lumpy. Foolishly sold the manifold when I converted to OBD2 but did keep the cams in, maybe the lumpiness offsets some of the smoothness from the improved ECU setup!
  21. You don’t really want that, sure it would fit much better on mine. Well done finding VR6 gold dust!!!
  22. I like that and considering the length of the load bearing surface it's pretty well spread so shouldn't cause any problems, look at the two post lifts that support the car on four rubber pads for example. I do have the feeling that my splitter would be eating the dirt when it's first lifted at that angle though! As an alternative, if you've got the garage headroom there are often four post lifts on eBay for around the £500 mark, although unless you're lucky enough to have a three phase incomer you'd have to look out for a single phase model. I have a double garage but it currently has a flat roof so it's a none starter but am considering putting a pitch roof on to create me a lifting area plus a storage area in the attic space at the other side...just need the additional budget now.
