  1. There are a few that have done this, and I think it looks good if done right. It will mean bodywork though as the Corrado and rear VW badge are fixed through the rear panel with little tabs. The de-badged grill is £25 from venom or somewhere, and the VR6 badge will fall off of its own accord if you leave it (in my experience....)
  2. There's a damper box attached to the ISV. This is filled with foam, which can get sucked into the ISV, and due to the heat from the exhaust they are prone to cracking. I'd check this also.
  3. Amazing work, again! When I fitted my AP's I had to grind down the OEM ball joints...... still fouls slightly on lock but the car is pretty low....
  4. Steps in the right direction though mate. Looking forward to seeing this in the flesh at some point. You making the VR6OC rolling road day on 1st March?
  5. Not like it's going to get stuck in any snow drifts with that 4x4 suspension.....
  6. https://www.vwheritage.com/shop/535805903B/lower-front-splitter-corrado-90mm-89-94/ Still available!
  7. definitely this ^^^ Sad times but a hell of a run mate.
  8. Holiday plans may be changing so I could well make this now Chris. Hope to rope in a few locals as well if it looks like it'll be a dry day. How about we aim for a late March/April meet up for those unable to make the RR day?
  9. My heart says keep it. I came back to the Corrado when my son was about 6 months old and he loves it! Always wants to go out in it and generally has a moody few moments if we have to take a different car. At the moment I'm happy with it being a weekend car and getting nice things lavished upon it when I have the time. My head though says sell. The last thing you need when you've got a new born is money worries.... you'll have enough to do with worrying about them. Selling may free up some cash if it's a good example and priced appropriately. Unfortunately you won't get back everything you've put in but in the run up to spring cars will start shifting again and the G60 is still popular in the scene
  10. Maybe they'll just let me use yours then mate?!
  11. Haha! Loads more that day! Have stealth still got their vrt test car? Might try to blag a drive.
  12. There'll be another one there in a few weeks....
  13. Nice one cheers. I'm in the middle of moving at the moment but when I've got a spare afternoon I'll run it on over.
  14. I've got some stone chips that need looking at on mine, had paint about 2 years ago. If I can I'll bring it over and let you have a look. Always good to see an enthusiast rather than a random body shop.
  15. Sorry chaps. Due to house moving commitments I'm not going to be able to make Sunday unfortunately. Still in for the RR day on the 1st March though so hopefully see you guys there if you're going.
  16. Car looks amazing! Well done Where in Newmarket are you based?
  17. Top work getting your hands dirty on this. Lapped some valves in years ago on an old BSA for my old man..... And there was only 4, not sure I'd want to do 12! Looking good
  18. Black vr6 in Milton tesco carpark.... Right now! L866 *** crystal red rears look good, was it a film?
  19. I'm still not sure about the 1st.... I won't be moving but I suspect we'll be packing by then so I'll have to see on the day.
  20. I thought that was still the case. As the third party you can demand to be returned to the pre accident state
  21. That's a shame Baz, I'm sure a few years ago you'd have sorted this car to an equally high standard. I can completely sympathise with your situation having had my son 3 years ago. But I can confirm it gets easier as they get older. I've done nothing to my cars recently but that'll all change this year as I'm getting time back again. If you do end up selling let me know as I could be very interested as a friend of mine has been after an R32 corrado project for a while.
  22. Welcome! Where are you based? Ace café is usually a good place to meet..... although I've only ever been on bike nights...
  23. No, I actually did type good....... I'm going to add a caveat to my earlier comment by saying I've never seen a modern or modernish car that looked good rat'ed. I think the cut-off is about 1986-87......
