I've got a set here, totally undamaged, if you are stuck.

Up load your photos to Photobucket, click on library, switch on the Organise feature (just above the first photo), select the photos you want to post by clicking on them while you have the Ctrl button depressed, they should now be highlighted by a blue frame, click on the link button at the bottom of the page and copy the Img codes for Forums. Then simply paste those codes into your post. Welcome aboard by the way.

If the car is a VR6, I'd check the plastic 'crack pipe' which runs across the front of the engine which and are prone to splitting without warning. Your symptoms sound very familiar to an episode I suffered on my last Corrado. Top up the coolant system, start the car and it should be fairly obvious where the leak is.

A new cable is available from ARZ Tuning as below, not sure if it's still available from the dealer or not. The part number appears to be 536823531. Probably too late to ask Santa for one. http://www.arz-tuning.de/shop/product_info.php/info/p631_Hood-Release-Cable---Corrado.html

Not sure if this is the right section but here goes. Ever wondered what size of a spanner you need for a M12 nut or bolt or what size of nut fits a 10mm spanner? Here's a quick list of the more common ones on your Corrado. M4 7mm M5 8mm M6 10mm M8 13mm M10 17mm M12 19mm M16 24mm Probably useless info. but it might come in handy for the less mechanically minded.

288 front brakes , headlight switch, rh roof moulding

Check out the link below for the 288 brakes. They are in N. Ireland and the carriage on them would be brutal but I thought the price wasn't too bad http://gtini.invisionzone.com/index.php?/topic/17163-full-mk3-gtivr6-288mm-brake-setup/ -

I have a set of stalks from a '93 Mk3 Golf which are in excellent condition surplus to requirements at the moment. They look to be identical to the stalks in my '94 Corrado. If any-one can confirm that they would suit your car they could be yours for very little money

Mk2 Seat Leon TFSi turbo re-mapped to 263 BHP, hence the user name. Just coming up on 100k and I still absolutely love it.

They should come apart without heat but there was probably a dab of thread lock on them when they were assembled so they will be tight. Use the proper double hex or 12 point socket front and back and unscrew the nut while holding the bolt. A shot of WD40 will also help.

I have a set on my Corrado which have a light smoke tint to them. The car also has the up-graded headlight loom and there is no appreciable difference in light output.

Would it not be as simple as sourcing four bolts that screw into the threaded holes in the bonnet. I'd take a guess at the holes being M8, try an M8 bolt in the hole and make sure it's not too long by screwing it the whole way in. If you can still see threads when it's fully screwed in, it's too long. It'll be a two man job to fit the bonnet in any case, one at either side to hold it in place while you screw the bolts in. I've fitted plenty of bonnets that were held on with bolts through the hinges as opposed to studs and nuts.

Check that the drain holes in the inner wing at either end of the scuttle area are not blocked with dead leaves etc. as this can lead to a puddle forming. Any water collecting in the scuttle are should be able to drain away through the inner wings.

You can get standard ISO wiring plugs from Halfords and probably Maplins although the wire colours will not match the OEM VW wiring. If you do a search on Google for OEM VW radio loom wiring colours you will find sites which provide the information you need to make sure you connect the plugs up correctly. The male plugs go on the car loom and the female plugs should be on the head unit loom or the head unit itself. I've done it many times but I'd solder and heat shrink wrap the joints if you can get access ........ much better job. You'll get the heat shrink tubing in Maplins too.

Part number for the clips is 535 853 832A and you need 10. Part number for the plastic inserts is 535 853 837, 10 required also. I got the clips from my dealer earlier in the year and the plastic inserts came from Classic Parts in Germany via VW Heritage, I think they were around 27p each. I just found these on e-bay, only 5, but complete clips and inserts. http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Vw-Corrado-Wiper-Scuttle-Clips-/151163078188?pt=UK_CarsParts_Vehicles_CarParts_SM&hash=item233205862c

Do you have a part number for it? I have a pulley here for the ribbed type belt off a MK3 Golf, part number 037 121 031C ............. 118mm in diameter, three bolt fitting ............... may or may not do.

Described in VagCat as 'moulding for door trim panel', part number 535868504A. It clips onto the top of the door card and hooks over the inner window scraper. Common to all Corrados throughout the production run.

My previous VR6, a 1993 model, did have an orange plastic funnel at the top of the dip stick tube but my current 1994 model does not. The top of the dip stick tube on my current car is simply slightly flared. The dip stick on my current car has the part number 021 115 611 L and it has a red plastic handle. The metal dip stick itself, excluding the handle, is 53cms long to the tip. Hope this helps. Should you need the orange plastic funnel, the part number is 053 103 663 and it is readily available on e-bay.

I believe that the part number you have posted refers to the clips that hold the rear quarter panel trims in place. The original clip that held the scuff plate in place was made of white plastic, slid into a slot on the under side of the scuff plate and pressed directly into holes in the sill and they nearly always broke when you tried to remove them. The part number for that clip was 191 853 577. That particular clip has been superseded by a two piece clip and grommet arrangement. There are grey plastic grommets that push into the holes in the inner metal sills and part number for them is 191 853 568 D. There are also white plastic clips which slide into the slot on the under side of the scuff plate and the part number for them is 191 853 577 A. The white clip then pushes down into the grey grommet. Both parts are available from your local dealer but you will also find 191 853 577 A on Amazon, believe it or not. I have three of the original single piece clips which you are welcome to as I also have a supply of the superseded part.

Hi Emma, How many bottom door card clips do you need? I recently stripped a couple of doors and I removed everything even the plastic clips that go up the front and back of the doors that the little screws screw into. All the clips are complete with both parts present. Free to a good home!
