Too big ............. go to Google images and do a search for 'Corrado on 18s', dozens of pics.

  3. If you can believe the ads on e-bay for the de-cat pipe, you can expect to gain approx. 10bhp due to the less restrictive nature of the pipe. MOT failure, so keep the cat.
  4. Excellent explanation, I bow to your superior knowledge as I've learned something new to-day.
  5. The adapters would be fitted to the hubs using the supplied bolts through the four holes that line up with the bolt holes in the hubs. The wheels would then be bolted to the adapters through the bolts holes in the wheels that line up with the other five threaded holes in the adapters. If you car is four stud, the standard wheel bolts will be M12 x 1.5. Try one of these bolts into one of the threaded holes in the adapters. If it fits, then you will need 20 M12 x 1.5 bolts to fit the wheels to the adapters (you will already have 16 from your original wheels) If it is too small, then you need 20 M14 x 1.5 bolts to fit the wheels to the adapters. The next thing to check is the length of the bolts. As the adapters are only 15mm, you may well find that standard wheel bolts are too long. The easy way to check is to fit an adapter into the back of the wheel with the wheel off the car. Line up the bolt holes and screw a bolt through the wheel into the adapter. If the end of the bolt comes out of the back of the adapter, even by a mm, then the bolts are too long and will foul the hub before they are tight when you try to fit the wheels. In this case you will have to source 20 short wheel bolts to fit your wheels.
  6. Sorry, no more available. I'm just clearing out surplus bulb holders from the time I did the 'all red' tail lights.
  7. You have PM with payment details ..... many thanks.
  8. If you run all red rear lights you will be well aware of the 'red indicator' problem. To overcome this I am offering the bulb holders below which have been fitted with 102 SMD LED bulbs and the relevant resistors to make them flash at the correct speed. This modification will, to a large degree, overcome the red indicator problem to the extent where my own car passes MOT without any problem with the all red rear lights fitted. Simply remove your own bulb holders, unplug the loom, plug it into the modified bulb holder and install ......... job done. Asking price is £25 which includes delivery.
  9. I recently replaced my mirror glass with e-bay glass which included the backing plates. I used the included backing plates but subsequently separated the original Corrado glass from the original backing plates. Both plates are undamaged and available for a small consideration should any-one want or need them.
  10. The passenger side one is shown as being in stock at AZR Tuning in Germany at around €79, but no mention o the drivers side one.

  14. Yeah, the guy next door had his BMW done and was well impressed with the result. I saw Edd China do it on one of the Wheeler Dealer cars and the before and after readings were like night and day.
  15. Sat. 6th July. Woke up to a glorious day, so headed off to the GTi NI annual show at the beautiful Castlewellan Country Park with my son in his 18t Mk4 Golf and a mate in his absolutely concours Golf Rallye. Had a brilliant day at a packed show and even managed to collect the runner up award in the Corrado/ Scirocco class. I was soundly beaten by a 2013 Viper Green Scirocco with 20inch chrome turbine style alloys and air ride. This car was literally sitting on the sills and bumpers when parked up ............ how do you even begin to compare it to a 94 Corrado? My mates Rallye which has undergone a £9000, bare metal restoration over the last 9 months didn't even get a mention, I'm not even sure the judges knew what it was. Great dat all the same. Sun. 7th July. Spent an hour this morning fitting chrome front door internal door openers. I bought these from VWMachine on e-bay for around £13 delivered. They are a nicely cast and chrome plated metal item and reassuringly heavy. Fitting was not entirely straightforward as they are not an exact replica of the original. They foul very slightly at the fat end in the plastic 'box' into which they fit on the inner door panel. A couple of minutes with a round file quickly eased matters and I'm well impressed with the result. Pics. below.

    m12 thread bar

The easy way to remember is ................... 4 stud hub, M12 ................... 5 stud hub, M14

    m12 thread bar

I reckon the way to go for a DIY one is to buy a 3-4 inch M12 bolt, cut the head off it and round off the cut end. That should leave you with plain section of bar with a threaded section at one end. When screwed into the hub, the wheel will slide nicely along the unthreaded section. Simply trim to your desired length and hopefully you should end up with something as shown below. http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/AUDI-VW-Mercedes-WHEEL-GUIDE-BOLT-ALIGNMENT-TOOL-14mm-/121121056327?pt=UK_CarParts_Acc_Wheels_tyres_Rims_Car_Wheels_ET&hash=item1c3360a647
  19. You also need to be a member of the Corrado Club of GB and have a membership number to register.
  20. Could it be as simple as doing a search on e-bay? http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Fuel-pump-Golf-MK2-Jetta-Corrado-191906092AD-New-genuine-VW-part-/121125377763?pt=UK_CarsParts_Vehicles_CarParts_SM&fits=Model%3ACorrado%7CCars+Type%3A1.8+16V&hash=item1c33a296e3#vi-ilComp
  21. How about this, it's identical to the one on my engine. http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/VW-GOLF-VENTO-CORRADO-VR6-SIDE-ENGINE-COVER-PLUG-LEAD-GUIDE-PASSAT-021-133-919-A-/321114999368?pt=UK_CarsParts_Vehicles_CarParts_SM&hash=item4ac3f20a48
