    Help with wheels

Would the redrilled holes be visible? If not then I would do that and stick some 10mm hubcentric spacers on to get back to ET30. That way your still bolted directly to the hub and the wheels in essence are still the same. It sounds like there is space between the 5x112 bolt holes and there is no issue with double drilled wheels.
  2. There was another guy on here that had a supercharged VR thats not been on recently. It was tidy. Oh and the recent 16vT one. Its my favourite colour hence why have the one I have now. Ive found that wheels and colour really need to be choosen carefully as some styles/colours they dont suit.
  3. Fits in very well with this car. Would he have sold the Speedlines!! Bugger I just bought another set.
  4. Yep, if I were down to one car thats what I would have. A simple MRC map and pulley and they are regulary getting 460bhpish. Upgrade the front brakes and you have one very competent car. £20-30k will get you a decent example. Slightly higher miles but this gives you an idea - http://forum.rs246.com/viewtopic.php?f=63&t=108366
  5. I hate to imagine whats he has spent on that. Seems very focused in 0-60 times. Thing is for me what you pay for a 2nd hand Golf R and map it you could have a B8 S4 and map/pulley it and get 460bhp ish. Im just strange though as I love silly fast estate cars.
  6. I have one of them as well, often thought about it being a donor car if I ever thought about this as there not much worth these days. One thing that Ive often wondered is would syncro system be better? People naturally go to Haldex as its newer but for me a permanent mech 4wd system just seem to feel better than the haldex system especially as the haldex really needs all the original sensors to work at its best.
  7. They have pretty much been proved as bullet proof. Very little goes wrong. Genuine 200mph+ estate there. I have seen one on the roller that produced more power and torque at 2500rpm than my RS4 did at peak!!! All that and he could watch Playboy channel whilst doing it. Im planning on getting one at some point.
  8. For that money and a practical car Id be spunking it on this - http://www.pistonheads.com/classifieds/used-cars/audi/rs6/audi-rs6-avant-c6-v10-tfsi-quattro--abt-remap-to-700bhp--sepang-blue/2060672?isexperiment=true
  9. Hi, will give you shout about these after tomorrow. Need to get something cleared first.
  10. Just to be pedantic is this not an ABF block with rods etc thats for sale as the s/c isnt included from what I can see so its not an ABF 16v G60 thats for sale.
  11. Welcome, been to your city a few times.
  12. If its OBDII just get the whole lot and do a swap.
  13. As you will know start with the basics. Get the plugs out and have a look at them. Check the leads, coilpack etc and give it some new fluids and filters. Check timing then see what its like. Hardy motors these and there only a few things that can really upset them and they are pretty simple to work on.
  14. You would kick its ass on the road. Its area under graph that you want, you have loads more. Just shows that focusing on numbers is not the whole story. Your car makes way more power and torque up until 6krpm, how many times do you get that high on the road and by that time you will have fooked of out of sight. For example this is another good torque curve. Boosted V6's are the bollocks, hell even F1 have them now......
  15. 0.68 is probably why it tails of a bit. Mine was originally 1.06 then I went with a 0.82 which I think was the best. Still thats splitting hairs right now. You will learn so much about how these things work.
  16. You will not believe the torque on it until you actually drive it. They are awesome. Healthy numbers there, any idea on the boost level?
  17. Must admit the more I think about it the more I fancy just sending the car down to get this done. I know Id like to do it myself but looking very unlikely I will have time or space to. One thing that Ive been looking into regarding gearbox and turbo to increase longevity is to get all the gears and shafts superfinished to help. Was the original block good and well within tolerances?
  18. Nice, I hope those brake sare getting fitted as well now.
  19. On the bay now - http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/171246057844?ssPageName=STRK:MESELX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1558.l2649#ht_234wt_1275
  20. Heres very similar 16in wheels to give people and impression of what they look like on a C. Are the back of the hubs flat and solid as they could be redrilled to 5x100 as the caps will cover the bolt holes up. Then folks could run them straight on the car.

    new car

Kind of, one of them is hers!! I do prefer the Mk5 over the Mk4 but only when the front grill is black as per the Gti. Not a chrome fan. Turbo kits still silly expensive for these?
