Agree, crazy low price and you can trace the history of the car on here for piece of mind. -
West Coast and east coast have some amazing roads. West coast up to Fort William is pretty busy in summer (but no where near lakes busy) so April is probably a really good time. As for weather, dont plan for any as it can and will change very quickly but its not as wet as some believe. I love the proper north west i.e. Skye road, Kyle of Lochalsh, Ulapool and around that area as its still relatively quiet. Ive been up there many times, in fact I took a wee day trip on a certain royal wedding was on a few years back http://the-corrado.net/showthread.php?t=49027&page=50

I like the idea, keeps it neat in the bay and shortish boost pipes. Get some of that gold heat wrap for the boost pipes or try make them from mostly metal as the rubber/silicon will degrade with the constant heat cycles. Might limit the size of the intake filter you could have though.

Im on the look out after an issue with my frame. Fox had a recall on the front forks but Im assuming as its new they should have been done. Been looking at those Giants as well, not keen on 29's though. The 27.5 wheels seems the best to me now.

Thats pretty much what he has, they use the same offset. I had a kit on my Mk4 and it wouldnt work on the Corrado because of this.

Any involvement in hydraulic systems? If you have then seriously think about speaking to F1 teams. My mate served his time as an aircraft tech on Tornados and got a chance interview with Lotus F1 as a gearbox technician (eveythings hydralically driven in the cars so very similar). He got it and spent two years with them and has justy moved to Mercedes. He says evem more of the car is now using hydraulics. Pay wont be as good as ROV's but you dont have to worry about sharing boats with manky scotsmen and going to West Africa!!! I know what Id choose. Anyway back on topic, its good to have little issues like this and learn your way around the car and set up. It help you understand how everything is linked and for future problem solving.

They are uber light as well as they are forged. Its only 1mm difference so easy enough to get them turned or as you say get spacers with specific centrebores. Its just a pity they are not wider.
-
Yeah Autosport is more my thing as well. I do like seeing some ot these. The white Mk1 is cool.
-
Its cool wasnt aimed at anyone in particular. Its just there always seems to be a lot of bashing of the particular car when very few have owned one or even driven one. Anyway thats getting of topic. Ive seen the RS4 with said wheels and Im sure he has done that just or get a reaction.
-
Its a show though, people want to make an impact i.e. Porsche turbofans on a Bolf fronted Mk4 Golf (looks horrendous to me). For those dissing the Mk3 Scirocco you need to live with one for a while. They are brilliant cars. Good to see a standardish car getting a trophy, well done.

Looks good, boost pipes will be close to exhaust though wont they?
-
Who did it? If the person welded in the baffles it would have distorted the sump enough so it wont seal. Did you put it flat on the ground to see?
-
Haha, reminds me so much of my run in one. You just cant stop shouting expletives. Get used to it as everyone I took out could help themselves either. Prepare for the downs as well as they are a rollercoaster ride but the highs make up for it.
-
Mmm, if you can send it them Id probably take it then.
-
Tempted, any idea how much the resonated section is as I'm going to put mine back to quiet spec?
-
Light and 17's dont really mix to well. Other than the suggestions above have you looked at some of the Rota wheels. Ive always liked the Force ones but there are some called the Blitz that are very BBS CH like. I also think Speedline Turini's are very nice motorsport style.
-
After seeing a few without the side trim I think Im going to remove mine. Looks a lot cleaner.
-
Agree, you will be laughing your head off the whole way back.
-
What does the back box look like and hows it attached to the system?
-
That was my impression really. It worked and did what it needed to but I always though it could have been better finished. Its the same as most things like though, your only going to know its done right and to what you want if you do it yourself. At the time it worked for me and as said its still going strong. Conversion probably cost the best part of £5k (inc engine) on this one. Knowing what I know now I wouldnt pay to have it done again though.
-
If its a 9a it should be a late spec car which uses the same hangers so I would say yes.
-
I think what needs to be taken into account is also that was the first conversion done by them in there old place and it was probably more of a project / prototype on that one. I had mine done by them and it was fine/no major issues and is still going strong. There was one or two little things that I wasnt too keen on but overall it was good. He would have paid a fair bit for that conversion.

What a **** take, theres a set on ebay here with tyres that havent sold at £900 so they have nooooo chance.
-
Tempted to buy that and restore it then sell mine or use it for bits for mine.
