  1. Nothing rare really, I do have a lot of little 2nd hand spares tucked away. Working sunroof as well :) In fact come to think of it there are no rare factory options thats I desire right now to be honest. Had the leather heated black Recaro's and in all honesty I didnt find them any better than standard seats. I like the brake cooling ducts that I retrofitted. Saying that I would love some Vento Cups Speedline wheels and a pukka Gemini 6spd kit.
  2. Look great, they will be a total PITA to get in and out of though.
  3. It was a Jetex filter IIRC rated to 400bhp+, it does look a little tired mind you. New one looks massive, wonder if they do anything for the RS. Its quite cool that you can get the OE looking 16's on the car, bet they look lost in the arches.
  4. My brother lives there you see. Whats the deal on camping then? Can we? I stayed in Slutterworth the last time.
  5. Dont it before for Gti International a few years back. Im acutally used to driving from Poole to Aberdeen as I do it a couple of times a year.

Heres my old one on 8x17in reps. Looked great, saw a set for sale recently and thought about it again as they suit the car so well.

Very nice however thats a tad too much even if they are mega rare. First thing I would do is reverse mount them.
  10. Always looks decent. My 4motion Golf has V28 VRG which I thought was quite good.
  11. Fairly recent, done think he is on here much anymore. Want me to see if I can get in touch, should still have his mob number?
  12. As far as I am aware he does but it was up for sale.
  13. Obviously needed for brakes. Wierd fiting them to a basically standard car.
  14. Are we talking out upper guide or the tensioner pad? Didnt think you could replace them with only top cover out. Best way is to get a thin metal rod down the spark hole so you turn crank and see it at TDC for yourself.
  15. Have you checked that piston No.1 (top left when viewing from front) is actually at TDC when the crank mark is used? Better to use that so you know for sure as mine is very slightly out. I know there is some slack in the chains when you take it apart even with the tensioner bolt in but not sure if there is enough even if the guide plate is gone. Saying that if its in pieces you will need to get the gearbox of anyway to replace the top plate so it looks like the box is coming off regardless.

  17. If it still idles and revs smoothly Id say it was just the noise from the chain guide.
  18. I use those pads and there good.
  19. I still miss lifting the bonnet and not seeing that. Its all the wee things that always show up when there not running right. I always used to automatically think the worst then find its something simple. If you ever want to swap wheels with the MO's.....you know where I am.
  20. Have you looked at the charge cooler on the VRT for sale? Never seen them before and looks a nest little package.
  21. Welcome, another Aberdeen-ish man. Theres quite a few hiding up here. Where did you get the car? If you see an L-reg silver one going about it will be me.
