  1. Sorry missed this post. Regarding the air ducts to the wheels wells I think they worked well. I will look into a bracket and maybe run some piping directly to the behind the discs as well. Compo's are around the same as most 17's so there not heavy in that respect. Decided to put them on the other halfs Mk4 4motion and get my RC's back as they are a lot lighter, tyres are less stretched and I could use them as road/wet track wheels/tyres. Ive bought the plug in Schroth harnesses that were for sale and also the front strut brace. I'll look for a rear ARB as well. Keeping interior as it is as I would still like to use the car without compromise if needed. Might get one of my spare steering wheels coated in alcantara. Its now out to play as the Audi is tucked up ready to get the brakes done and rear ARB fitted that Ive had sitting about.
  2. Id rather mine was like the first photo than the pimps layer of the 2nd photo. :)
  3. Heard about this at the weekend. Im afraid thats how stupid some of the people are around here. Thing is he probably thinks it cool thats its gone viral now.
  4. Id be relocating battery if it were me but theres also this - http://www.knfilters.com/search/product.aspx?prod=25-3901
  5. Mmm, always fancied a Golf G60 as well....
  6. Almost bought an Integrale Evo about 5-6 years ago for £12k and it was a nice one. Would easily be worth double that now.
  7. Exactly, unless there on the same day, on the same dyno at the same temperature and even then all your doing is comparing to the previous run.

    Brakes

I like the sound of that above. On a budget - 288's with good discs and pads and braided lines is what you need. Ive done a couple of trackdays with this set up and never had any issues. Thats with DS2500 pads.
  9. Any idea on when the rear braces will be available?
  10. Feeling flush? http://www.sqsracing.com/produkt/276:362:synchro-box-racing-competition
  11. If Matty doesnt want it for £65 posted I'll take it for that.
  12. You really need to use the same Dyno before and after doing any mods and ideally with the same ambient temp as well. Its only really willy waving figures anyway, as long as the car is running right and fuelling right thats all that matters. For a VR its not worth chasing numbers to be honest. Anywhere around 190bhp is fine.
  13. Yes, it would take them to Et33. Ive used Et35 with zero issues. In fact my 8x17in Et35 wheels are for sale.
  14. Look in my 24v car thread, I got tinted them at some point.
  15. I'll take them if you doe them for £150 inc delivery.
  16. Same for me with head/fog etc
  17. Having sold a few sets of wheels its a waiting game to be honest, unless your desperate dont lower price too much.
  18. All 17's other than OZ's ultraleggrea are around 10kg. They are nice wheels but track tyres in 17's are bloomin expensive so I thought Id go for 15's and have some wheels in the same size for road/spares if I needed them. Its looks and drive fine on the 17's, its just that from a cost perspective 15's will be better for me.
  19. Decided to try and attack this thing over the winter with an aim to get something more track relaiable. Ive got a pretty much full set of powerflex bushes sitting so will try and get as much as them on. Ordered some Federal 595 RSR tyres today as there was a good deal going (£250 delivered for 15's) so I'll probablty throw them on the Speedlines. If the compo's dont sell I'll probably put them on the Golf and put the RC's back on this for normal use. I think clutch needs doing as well so will look at options for that. Aim is to still keep it usable so interior will stay as is but may look into a different drivers seat but its still supposed to be a budget car.
  20. Even GRP to be honest, Im not fussed on CF. As long as its lighter are doesnt rust.
  21. Defo be interested in bonnet and rear panel in GRP. Wings and doors next please.
