I ran borbet A's 7.5" front, 9" rear with coilovers no problem. they did scuff arches sometimes but the coilovers were knackered and i live in the country where the roads are naff

Haha, very nice wheels. 4 sets of wheels that havn't seen the car?! thats quite impressive lol, soon you'll have a set of wheels for each day of the week or to suit your mood

Ahh yes, well were is the best place to get them from then? so far i have: euro performance: goodridge hoses with stainless steel ends for £96 , goodridge brake line kits with zinc for £77. Awesome: goodridge s/s hose kits for £61
-
yea thats what i meant, but as i've never bought them before i don't know whats a rip off and whats a sensible price to pay!
-
I seem to be having to replace them everytime it comes to MOT time, there are some special coated ones that are pretty cheap for replacing them that don't wear as much. i may just be being dilusional again though...

Im wanting to replace all the brake lines and pipes on my car with braided and some fancy lines (can't remember what they are called but apparently better than copper), just wondering where is the cheapest place to get them from. Demon tweeks want £86.00 for a full set of braided hoses but seeing as i've never bought any before not sure if thats good or not :?

sorry KIP, been reading your posts and I thank you all for all your help, just got my hopes up a bit when i heard that i might actually have the right parts... guess not though BOOOO!!! Still waiting for this guy with engine to get back to me as im hoping he has all the wiring like he said in the advert...
-
pete, the loom i have posted is the loom i have but that just plugs into the engine, injectors etc. i would have thought i would need the loom for the fusebox/clocks etc. do pardon my little knowledge in the field of wiring, im getting stealth to do the wiring conversion who have said they will be providing me with fitting instructions so im still working out what i need to send off. As for the pipe, there are 2 vacuum hoses off the back of the inlet manifold on the left hand side, rather idiotically are part of the full manifold. they are only stubby little things but its cracked soo far down i can't do much other than glue it with some industrial strength stuff. As for the dash swap, its an audi engine so first off comes with audi clocks and id prefer mk4 clocks and dash and secondly seeing as i dont actually have any creature comforts with the engine it pretty much limits me to bare minimum corrado standard stuff for time being.
-
I have this one only
-
im sending the loom off to get converted to corrado clocks so i dont have to mess about with dash, but everyone says i need the original wiring to get it all converted and seeing as though in the original thread http://www.edition38.com/forums/index.p ... pic=207794 it says clocks loom everything for conversion, i would assume and this is probably me being daft, that it would actually come with clocks loom and everything. i've been pestering the guy to get back to me about the parts but no luck yet and im getting really wound up.
-
:censored: im getting REALLY wound up with this sodding conversion and i havn't even started. The guy that sold me the engine is not returning my calls, i only have the main engine loom and not the rest of it that i need to send off, that he said apparently came with the engine and i cant find anyone that sells the loom. also found a pipe at the rear of the inlet manifold snapped :bad-words: anyone want an audi 3.2 engine? £1200?
-
MIC im guessing its not the floor mounted one, how much you wanting?
-
ok, next question then. where did you get yours from and how much?
-
can a VR one not just be used?
-
does anybody know if i need a mk5 golf r32 dbw or if any mk5 golf pedal will do? and if an audi TT has the same dbw pedal?
-
haha, well your just showing off now arn't you!!! ill tell you what, im waiting for dubpower and stealth to get back to me and should be starting conversion in about 2-3 weeks so ill begin the reassurance talk then... or rather ill need it!!!
-
cheers guys, well all of my mates have been really good about it all and are well up for helping me out which is good. well iv spoken to pete at dubpower who said he will sell me a conversion manifold so i can use the existing corrado cat. think you may be right on the lambda's, but scrappers are a bit scarce on r32 parts cus every man and his dog wants them. will just have to keep my eyes open, will be nice once i've done it i don't doubt but its going to be my daily so that will be fun :)
-
got it from a guy in huddersfield off ED38, all felt a little dodgy afterwards and he has seemed to have disappeared now.
-
right guys im hoping for some big help here, im about 10 seconds away from selling everything and buying a mk4 golf. Iv got a corrado and an audi TT engine, manifold can be ordered whenever, wiring needs sending off, the engine didn't come with some major parts which i need so hoping people can point me in the right direction for reasonably cheap parts. I've been calling around for what seems like eternity for a MK5 r32 pedal which i cant find, i need 4... yes 4 lambda's probes for reasonably cheap :( and a mass air flow sensor. please help!!!
-
did you buy them off wheel whores? i was going to buy them but you beat me to it :(
-
well at 60k i doubt chains will need chainging, my mate just changed the chains on his VR at 120k and iv heard of r32's being similar if not alot better. not sure how to do chains on the 3.2 to be honest but if its anything like the VR you can do it with gearbox off but easier with engine out.
-
well the 3.2's have chains rather than cam belts so id be concerned if you got charged 500-1000 for cam belt change :cuckoo: corrado all the way though!
-
yea, they did look really nice but were buckled like crazy when i bought the car so had to get rid :( . replaced em with some borbet a's and looked amazing. you will love dish!!!
-
looks pretty good, if your going for spacers id shell out a bit more and buy hubcentric ones tho, not the cheapy halfrauds ones as iv seen horror stories of them cracking.
