  1. This may sound a bit of a weird question but because i didn't get a wiring loom with my engine because the guy that sold me the engine is the biggest cockeral i have ever come accross, i have got hold of a mk4 golf r32 wiring loom to go with my audi tt 3.2 engine. now i bought an audi a3 3.2 lambda sensor for cheap but it doesn't fit in the plug so im guessing i would need R32 lambda's can i use any mk4 golf r32 lambda's or would it be best trying to get the plugs converted to use audi TT lambda's. I can't really understand why different lambda's are used on what is essentially the same engine. Also does anyone by any rare chance have an MAF lying around for a TT engine, also need dukting as well!
  2. Baggsy them when you sell them then as I want them more  Dammit you beat me to it, I want the wheels of zak soo badly but i can't afford to get everything to convert to 112 at the moment :( Have to admit CH's will look the mutts nuts.
  3. my wheels went through mot without a problem so i wouldn't worry. im sure someone will have some wheels you can borrow close by leeds, when is MOT time? some people get away with rolling arch's if the paint is heated up properly but pulling the arches cause more stress on the arch. you can get away with it if your lucky. I think the rear corrado arch are double skinned so they take a bit of rolling and can crack easily.
  4. a little bit yea, they were borbet A not sure of the offset but enough people run them to know! not sure on the ET of your wheels but plenty of people run borbets with no problems.
  5. This is a grey area, from what i've heard the tread of a tyre needs to be under the arch but it doesn't say anything about having stretch on the tyre. This then leads to Mr Plod [strike:2d2xi4wc]abusing[/strike:2d2xi4wc] using their powers to decide whether the stretch is considered dangerous with their "wealth" of knowledge on this matter and all. Depends on what type of copper you get end of the day, i had no problems running 215 on 9" wheels but i cant see 205s causing that much problems Take a look at a website widewheels or bandedsteels i think they changed their name to, that gives you a good idea of the price. But that doesn't include paintwork being done IF paint cracks.
  6. ET does sound a little bit low, may have to have some arch work to drop it low as they will have a bit of poke. Standard ride height i wouldn't have thought you'd have problems though.
  7. Curiously they do an early and late style version, now i've seen some of the FK's that don't quite sit right and make the boot look like its not shut properly. Although as far as i know the lights and the same for early and late spec but thinking about if they were different that would explain why they sit different. anyone shed any light on this? http://caraudiosecurity.com/shop/produc ... ights.html
  8. gutted for you, hope it all goes well but yea i totally agree. A car is supposedly for getting from A to B, us car lovers just like to go via Z occasionally but no point making life difficult. Hope to see the progress in the future with Corrado!
  9. can the police not pay a nice visit to his gaff? i presume the engine number will match your chassis number and seeing as he isn't co-operating that would tell me it is a stolen engine?
  10. well i've got an audi engine to chuck in but from what i have found is the air flow meter and map on the ecu is different so the audi engines have around 15-20bhp more than the r32. i will find out soon enough if anything else is different because i have R32 loom from ecu to clocks and audi TT ecu to engine loom :? Also found out A3 lambda's are different to Audi TT :( Ill be attempting a proper DIY noob guide to the engine conversion to put on Wicki when/if i get it done
  11. your determined to use glue arn't you? glue the lid on so you don't use it!
  12. just put a metal ruler across the head make sure its flat. have you done this type of thing before? its fun putting the collets back in place! i usually put a little dab of grease on the inside of them so they stick to the valves
  13. breaking news: http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/motorsp ... 996698.stm FERRARI UP YOURS!!!! AAAAAHHHH HAHAHAHAHA!!! :epicfail: how long until ferrari jump on the bandwagon then?
  14. why don't they just inspect all cars prior to the racing season beginning, or would that cause confusion over common sense being used? its only because ferrari are probably the richest team in F1 and they are just spitting their dummy out because for once money can't help them.
  15. hmm... has potential but oh dear god those fog lights and indicators HAVE to go, that has been added to my list of the worst mods possible to a corrado. I quite like the wheels though :)
  16. Its getting annoying, Formula 1 are trying to make the sport more viewer friendly and a more enjoyable sport to watch yet all we seem to hear are races being decided out of races. its bloody annoying! I've given up watching because its just totally unsporting, it doesn't matter who wins because it will most probably be turned upside down anywhere through some technicality.
  17. im gonna jump on the no no no bandwagon here. The tensionner is very important, I've had one slip on me and that meant replacing valves which can be expensive. best to just spend the extra cash this time rather than risking further costs in the future. That tensionner is dead, it is no more, it has ceased to be, it has expired and gone to meet its maker, that... is an ex-tensionner
  18. im afraid i can't help you but im sure i've seen a topic before about this on an 8v, try a search for ISV (idle stabilisation valve), not sure if its the same position as a G60 but im sure someone would be able to confirm.
  19. to be honest i've heard same as you, from what i've heard you don't really gain anything from putting KR cams in, its just the 9a swap you do.
  20. KR actually but its pretty much the same as the 9A
  21. i'm afraid i can't help there, i just undid mine spun them round and tightened them back up and then stood back and smiled at my progress
  22. and if you have give me a shout because i have a full set you can have for price of postage :D
  23. There was a cosworth there!!! stuff the rado then, i want the cosworth... was it in cadburys blue/purple?
  24. 27th of January??? 2010? seems a long way to wait for a respray
  25. :D glad to be of service. Yes it should be a little bit stiff to turn, just make sure you get the cam belt tension right when your doing it and make sure the tensionner is tightened well once that is done as well!
