any motor factor, GSF, even the dealers, its a white block that screw onto the alternator, should be around £10

Have you changed the brushes on the alternator, only a few wuid to do, will cause the battery to charge badly too.

Lambda is still original....my money is on that the lambda is not used at WOT

The 307 hdi has some rather funny plugs on the diesel lines, i know cos my old man managed to fill the tank with petrol at xmas, i had to put the tank dry for him. The clips feel like they've gone right in but dont always, you have to give them a pull to be sure. Im not sure how the other drivers knew it was a problem unless it was a dry day. Anyway dont you just love diesels, the cars manual sad the diesel pump would need priming, as i suppected it would. funny thing is, the manual never told you were the prime handle was. I just used the tank pumps to prime it, worked ok.

could be a number of things, could be the switch, could be the resistor pack playing up, could be a short, get it sorted if its a short it could cause a fire.

Personally i think the sprinter is a drain on the CCGB's funds, lets face it the forum is a far better better place to recieve articles and review cars and more of them. Saddly the Forum isn't CCGB, but anyway thats my opinion. I think Jeremy did a great job, dont get me wrong, but in this day and age, does the CCGB really need a glossey mag. I'm not a member of the CCGB anymore, mainly due to the fact that i as a non uk member I felt it was of no benifit to me. I did like the sprinter but im sure the money could be better spent on a Club car or someother project, something that could be worked on and sold to keep a corrado on the road. lets face it, there are enough members and knowledge to do just that, only problems is the logistics and politics of such a move.
