Where are you Thom ?

They're bonded in so taking one out would be a faff, but not impossible. Luckily the bead comes out easy enough to re-use. The tool is about twenty pounds, but again can be tricky to use without breakages.

Thank you for the kind words. Depends on what and/or how much you want to take on. But yes, you could either - A: set yourself a deadline and stick to it. Or- B: be like me and have it on axle stands and ignore it for six months at a time. Personally I'd always suggest you take route A. What would you like to know ? I certainly can't profess to know it all, but I know a bit. Drop me a PM sometime.

The Official Corrado Campaign thread (where are they now)
James. replied to James.'s topic in General Car Chat
Are you saying you have a Campaign ? I'm a little confused by your message. Good hear your still in ownership Jimbo. How long have you had it now ? What are the plans ? -
That's solved a small mystery then. I know someone who lives up that neck of the woods and has mentioned a blackberry Corrado a couple of times. And I knew it wasn't the Billinge blackberry as he said it was stock as a rock. Anyway, welcome to the fold and hey standard pictures are all good. It seems more and more Corrados are heading that way.

Fixed is fixed is fixed is fixed. Strap in, drive, enjoy, post pictures. Great news.

Must be something in the water round here. I replaced my door striker over christmas as well. Are you likely to have been spotted in the Goose Green/Marus Bridge area of town ? In the mean time... Pictures ?

If you register with one of the DVLA sales sites, they should be able to give you a pretty swift price.

The Official Corrado Campaign thread (where are they now)

Yes I saw that. Surprised it's not not surfaced on here yet. -
Not at all. I know of six now. Did you pick it up locally ?
-
This interests me. I did the old replacing the amp with a piece of wire mod and that transformed the stations I could receive no end. But seeing as I listen to 6music and five live (patchy in the best of cars) I may be partial to an investment. What's the aesthetic of the head unit like when fitted ? Most of the dab head units I looked at 18 months back were of the Corsa hot rod variety.

Great colour and looks really clean. Welcome along from another owner in Wigan.

Better buy some rubber gloves for the next time.

I refurbed mine about 2 years ago because of Worn bearings. 2 New bearings ( local bearing specialist ) and a regulator ( see eBay ). Cost about £35 all in. Took a couple of hours. The only tricky parts were the screws that hold the casing together, as they were pretty crusty. It's been good as gold since.

The next generation of Corrado enthusiast ! Superb !!! My boy picked our copy up and started asking where our car was. He's Shure it's on there somewhere. Jim, what's the deadline for copy ?
-
I do actually, as one of my friends is a professional detailer, so leave the skill to him. I wasn't devaluing anyones craft, just expressing my amazement at there's a pot of wax for £200 ! I shouldn't be surprised though as I've nearly tripped over myself when passing the John Drake/ Zymol stand at trade shows. But if you want me to get the old chap out and see how we measure up then so be it. In the mean time, I'm off for a Coke and a smile.

For nearly TWO HUNDRED SHEETS, I would hope so !

road trip around glencoe and the trossacks from kent

Thanks for sharing, what looked like a superb road trip. Can't wait to visit that neck of the woods. -
Tend to think that if there was an issue with injector spray, then it wouldn't clear up after getting warm ? And you'd see a change in MPG. Seems you've checked all the right things. Vac leak ? Swap the ISV with a known good one ? Maybe live with it for a while and see if it gets worse/better. Be sure to let us know how it gets on.

She who must be obeyed tells me she saw a grey/dirty blue ? H plater (no I've not heard of that colour either) in jolly old Upholland on Tuesday afternoon.

Love this. Looks like a nice drive/adventure. We need more articles along these lines(instead of the usual dirge of tired old questions) Thanks for sharing.

Same here. Mine runs cool and returns the expected MPG. Pipes get hot at the right times. Fans come on as expected. Not saying don't investigate it, just throwing another cool running hat in the pile.

That's just most ebay sellers all over. Same in the record collectors world on the bay. One mans gold disc is another mans ashtray etc... I tend to not believe the hype and form my own opinions. Unfortunatly there's buyers out there who buy with their hearts and swallow any tripe put in front of them.

If the wiper motor/arms are mounted on the right hand side (as you look at it) of the scuttle tray, then you know it was born a lefty.
