  1. now shes HAWT! :norty: Coxy, I reckon you've spent too much time upside down under your car...
  2. 'darth vader' is a very good name for that monster, feel the force(d induction) :D I dont normally like corrados with bodykits but this is looking really nice
  3. well yes its possible, but you'd never get radio 2 :(
  4. cant be long before they pick up on RFID technologies rather than digital imaging which can be 'bypassed' in various ways. the only way you're going to block an RFID signal with with a radio jammer (AFAIK anyway?) and they can be 'pinged' to judge distance... not sure the technology is quite there yet but its a bit more foolproof than taking a snapshot.
  5. Walesy? get on the blower to your breif ASAP, thats blatent plagerisum right there!
  6. from finland of all places, certainly transforms its look!
  7. the back is higher to start with, if you want the car to look 'level' you need a 60/40 split setup although IMO they handle better withthe back a touch higher. I'd be wary of that car though, the front looks very low for a 40mm drop - could be the suspension topmounts are knackered. not expensive or hard to change but hey, might get you a bit knocked off the price. I'd bet you a tenner he didnt change the top mounts when he did the suspension. as for the bump stops, them being fitted or removed shouldnt effect the ride height of the rear of the car, but IIRC the fronts rest on the bump stops all the time? anyone confirm that?
  8. at least you can say you've owned a 911, even if it was breif! bit of a bummer i'm sure but i bet theres not many people who can say they 'downgraded' to a mint VR ;)
  9. *gulp* steady on mate, you're going to get a chap called 'big ben' all angry at me for insulting his sister!
  10. yeah, pretty much as it is in that pic above, although I think the bumper had mesh behind it and i'm fairly sure the front grille was badgeless.
  11. ^ just in case no one knows what i'm waffling about :)
  12. blink and you'll miss it - interesting 5mins of TV that! found out its a 300bhp VR turbo, rear engine and rear wheel drive, porker brakes and does 0-100 in 5 seconds! (must be KPH ;))
  13. men and moters, tuing mania (crap show i know but theres nowt else on!) they're doing a feature on DSP who made that mad grey 2 seater rado convertable/roadster thing!
  14. i really dont know mate, I'm not sure whats in it! I was told WD40 = bad and grease = good :)
  15. yup, silly as my suggestion reads, its actually accurate :) lube up the struts that lift the spoiler with white grease (not WD40 since it only works for a while and tends to get gritty) from the inside (remove panel on oposite side of reg plate, inside the boot) then lube up the motor and all moving parts. The only other thing i can think is that the motor is mis-aligned and thinks the spoilers fully up when its not?
  16. I'm trying desperatly to remember the website from the 'are you or your partner one of the millions of men that experiances and erection problem?' advert... god damn my forgetful brain!
  17. viagra in the form of white grease spraied onto the motor and the spoiler struts should see you being able to sustain a full and satisfying erection. If not, try pushing it up manually by getting in behind it and see if you can get it up further by hand as opposed to letting it come up on its own.
  18. yeah I think so, I've seen people test for CV joints/bearings that way before. not sure if they're that much of a pain to change, never having done it myself.
  19. is there any movement in the front wheels if you put your hand on the top of the tyre and rock it in/out of the arch? (while parked up, obviously!)
  20. ah so thats a 'G-unit' i did wonder ;)
  21. spend £50 on some proper car audio ya cheapskate ;) reminds me of a mate at uni who had two home HI-FI speakers in his boot for his 'tunes' - not even good ones mind you, those cheap nasty plastic enclosure types that you get on chav pimp-my-ghettoblasters. He did drive a nova though.
  22. even if its not under warrenty still VW should help this guy out, i mean a shade under 40k miles is nothing, the engine should just be getting nice and loose. I guess its going to be hard to prove its not been abused, but if its low miles and has a FVWSH it'll be down to them to provide evidence that ut HAS been ragged. An engine shouldnt fail after 40k, VW have to admit that and I think asking for £4000 for a new engine is pretty disgusting given the curcumstances.
  23. I only just realised you'd bought kevs rims! they look even more like solitudes on your car mate, i really like them!
