  1. more like a mk2 really, they handle much better though.
  2. typical chav shed, theres a few around here. In fact, theres a burgundy hyundi accent with a exhaust that'd be 'a bit big' for the scooby boys that razzes (in the loosest sense) down my street sometimes, no other modifications unless you class rust as a mod. pillocks.
  3. didnt everyone swoon over that 'other' corrado dragster a while back? reguardless, any more info on it paul? what sort of engine is that? or is it a total bespoke job?
  4. what offset did you get Leavon? Mine arent z-dubs, but they are 17x8 RH's so sort of applicable. I've got 205/40's on and it only rubs regularly on the front drivers side which seems to be a touch lower for some reason, then its only if i hit a large bump a bit fast.
  5. my 12" box (oh er!) was about £40 IIRC so i'd think the 10" is £39.95 knowing halfarts :? Neil G60, thats exactly how mine fitted, i just pushed it back so it was touching the back of the seats :)
  6. go with aqua blue, but do a few coats and plenty of lacquer (spelling?) so its really deep and glossy. In the right light I dont think theres a better colour on the corrado... see Tom's (VR6's) members gallery, some of the photos of his paintwork are pant wettingly good.
  7. i found the halfarts 10" sub box wedged into the early style 'humped' boot very snugly, add a bit of industrial stength velcro (hook side only, attached via the sticky side to the sub box) and it'll not move far.

    Brakes!

I've got blackdiamond with ferodo pads, when the grooves/holes are clear of brakedust they're superb, when they're clogged up, which ends up being 80% of the time, they're still good, just not AS good.
  9. i think the only cup 3's you'll get (new) now are rubbish quality rip-offs, I asked about the MM ones in a few local shops about 6 months ago and were told they'd stopped producing wheels for the aftermarket buyers and were concentrating on making wheels for mazda. zw1's can be had from http://www.styledynamix.co.uk and yes, they come in 5x100 :)
  10. must-have mod of 2006? a wheelie bar! I dont fully unterstand all of the engine gubbins, but it deffinatly looks out of the ordinary. is that the exhaust coming directly off a turbo? hope he keeps the pipes covered if it rains! 760bhp... mmmmm!
  11. the wheels were 16x7.5 borbet c's, i dont remember the tyre sizes! I used a 'lowering kit' from euro car parts, quite cheap and you could tell! the ride was pretty bouncy!
  12. you missunderstand, i mean once its reapired would asking 3k for it be ott!
  13. 40's a good compromise, i dropped my old valver that much and it just took the edge off the ride height without making it look modified. My vr's down 60mm and I think thats just about perfect for looks, although it deffinatly 'looks' lowered if you see what i mean.
  14. 'ello tony! whos car was it then? slap some photos up!
  15. 60mm would probably be fine with 7" wide rims, possibly even 80mm before you start getting problems but thats a bit low for daily use. its more likely the wheels will hit the arch liners rather than the arches themselves.
  16. pretty much any bbs split rim with a large lip looks good with black centers
  17. right, with that in mind i think the cash down the loo option might work out better, at least it'll cover the payment of the excess. bearing in mind it was cat d'd when t'other chris owned it, and providing the repairs go smoothly this time around, would asking 3k for it be ott or about right?
  18. ah.. yeah, lieu not loo or lew or lucy lu. thats what the chap said, they have to use genuine parts where as i could probably save myself a fortune buying 2nd hand bits. I'll have to have a chat with him when he rings back, might be the best option so long as I can find a decent, cheap bodyshop and get the parts i need. if i was hanging on to it then I'd go down that route no question, but since I'm selling I think it might be better to be able to say it was repaired with VAG parts, i dunno...
  19. I'm sure thats the colour scheme of taxi's around middlesbrough/harlepool, not corrados though obviously!
  20. yeah thats who i was thinking about getting to do it, either them or the guy that resprayed the vr when chrisvr6 nos had it, although the engineer slagged off his paintwork on the bumper, not enough plasticiser (sp?) apparently!
  21. h&b? never heard of them... seems cheap for the features its got packed in to it, which makes me wonder if the sound quality is up to much, deffinatly wont be up to alpine standards.
  22. cant you get a intake that replaces one of the front fogs? or am i TOMA?
