    Slim fast

well you're not going to be able to save much weight without removing stuff from the car! all i can think of other than the things you've said are OTT is removing the sound deadening from under the carpets etc, but i really dont think thats going to help much.
  2. do a search for 16vg60 mate, theres a few people that've done this with good results, however from what i gather its not easy, turboing may be a better route.
  3. my 1.8 16v used to 'whistle', it was down to (as far as i could work out) fins on the alternator.

    OMFG!!!!

reiger kits are a bit of a 'cult' thing now though arent they? they're like the Dimma kits for the 205, they come from a time when OTT wide bodies were all the rage. Compared to 'modern day' styled corrados its a bit in your face and larey, but it reminds me of the wide arched BMW's, 205's and mk1 escorts i used to see as a kid and dream of owning, i dont think I'd have one now but its nice to be reminded.
  5. ;) just the green eyed monster coming out in me, kind of makes me feel stupid polishing up my manifold of a sunday when there's glorious creations like this about.
  6. either that or he just decided he'd chrome everything ;)
  7. just been posted up for sale, already got lots of tasty bits on... http://the-corrado.net/.archive/forum/viewtopic.php?p=300369#300369
  8. yeah dinkus, those lights really dont suit a silver car do they? whole reason I sold mine! put them on and thought...er...no
  9. i'd love to see it after 1000 miles! can you imagine cleaning that lot on a sunday morning?
  10. benkenobi57, hes got no blades on the wiper arms! feck knows why, probably in LA or something and it never rains...
  11. you have to be a member to see the photos, so heres a taster...
  12. space the fronts wheels out a little and it'd be corrado perfection
  13. how small is the clamp and how thick is the wire? seems a bit odd the clamp would be too small...
  14. bit more to add to the symptoms, twice on the (short) drive home tonight the engine stalled while i was doing a spot of clutch control, thought it was me the first time (although i couldnt figure out how!) then when it did it the second time I realised it was probably related to the other problem... I'm now thinking kev might be right with his MAF diagnosis.
  15. one thing i should add, be 'very' careful of the paint around the hole (oh er!) as its far too easy to chip with the spike thingy the wiper arm attaches to as you pull it back through, and most of that area will be exposed with the grommet in place.
  16. visibility wasnt too bad without the rear wiper, just slap some rain-x on and if theres alot of standing water wipe it off with your hand before you get in the car! when you're driving its fine since the water tends to run off anyway!
  17. did this on my valver, you'll need a 'box of assorted grommets' from halfords since theres one in there thats the perfect size. open the boot, take off the plastic inner tail gate cover and you should see how the wiper mech and motor are attached, from memory its just a few bolts (possibly screws) to undo. Obviously before you do that take the arm off and all the gubbins so that you're left with a 'spike' that'll go back through the hole in the boot. Its a bit of a fiddle to get the motor/mech out, took me a good 10mins of turning it around in the limited space before i found the magic angle it finally came out at. dont forget to block up the rear washer pipe in case you accidentally knock the stalk - dont want a wet boot! do this at either the boot end or the engine end (i found boot end easier, stick a screw in the end!) pop your grommet in and sylicone it inside to prevent leaks...jobs a good un!
  18. wasn't having a pop at you mate, I'm not innocent by any means ;) wasnt there someone on the forum offering road angels at a slight discount a while back?
  19. the classics are the best eh henny?
  20. I could suggest that if you're worried about your licence, you should stick to the limit... but come on who does that?
  21. got you, so basically you've 'thinned out' the middle section between the two circles to improve the flow through the TB?
  22. can anyone explain knife edging and its advantages to the uneducated? (ie me)
  23. dave charged me £13.50, although I dont remember if that included p&p, and yes, his kit is the same idea as the one on ebay
  24. daves16v on the forum sells them too, i got a kit from him to repair my passenger handle, bit fiddly even with 2 of us working on it, but it only took about half an hour and works perfectly.
