yeah it should still work on the remote central locking

you can replace the barrels, but you'll need the keys for both handles. from memory, if you look at the back of the barrel theres a circlip which you need to take off, then you turn the key in the lock and slide the barrel out. just be careful not to knock the pins on the barrel and not to drop any of the bits, they have a tendancy to fall on the floor and roll away never to be found again!

well at least i know shes not with me for my car/cash/manhood... jesus i'm SO getting dumped :(

came out of the metrocenter on tuesday night to find a guy in a fiat coupe taking photos of my car, much to the bemusement of my g/f and her daughter who 'dont think its anything that special'
-
i dont know why i find that amusing, but i do! I think its because i'm getting a mental image of one of those big open-topped rubble trucks piled high with pigs rather than bits of rock.

"oxymoron" ( P ) n. pl. ox·y·mo·ra (-môr, -mr) or ox·y·mo·rons A rhetorical figure in which incongruous or contradictory terms are combined, as in a deafening silence and a mournful optimist.

you're full of bright ideas today! write em' down quick or you'll forget...

i'd slap a patent on that before someone else does if i were you phil...

Thats exactly what it is, a great big dump. It's only slightly more convincing than having your mate hang out the window going 'TSSSSCHHH' through a loudhailer and about as useful.

I hit a bat once, all I heard was a 'boink' as it bounced off the windscreen, it was my mate in the passenger seat that pointed out I'd probably just off'd an already endangered animal. I've also been told about a guy who was overtaking one of those waggons transporting chickens, the kind with the gaps in the sides, when one made a desperate bid for freedom only to bounce off his bonnet, over the roof and into the fast lane of the M1... nuggets for tea?

as for wiring up the speakers, as far as I know the early valvers didnt have wires down into the doors (mine didnt), so you'll need to run some from the headunit to your cross-overs, through the dash, through the rubber wire-tunnel where the door hinges and down to where the speakers will be. Dead easy, just whip the dash undertrays out and run the wires through! theres plenty of space under the glovebox for a crossover, and probably enough room somewhere on the other side to hide one, although I've never fitted componants before. Getting wires up to the tweeter positions might be fiddly, a length of stiff wire will help (wire coathanger or such). The speakers themselves will mount onto the backs of the doorcards, so yes you'll have to take them off, again an easy job which has been covered in other threads... search time! ;)

I've heard stories (probably posted on this very forum) of impreza's catching birds in their bonnet scoops...
-
nah, they both have cable-ties holding them together! (headlight vent)
-
good price and if they sit right in the arches, with the car nice and low, they'll look smart as you like
-
bet that was a suprise for both the bird and driver! anyone else hungry?
-
that corrado race car's made me need to change my pants *sexwee!* why the TVR brakes over porker or brembo's?
-
indeed they are mate, the white one in his avatar has them on, but its since been sold, and you cant really see them that clearly... so heres some better photos!

I was going to suggest a turbo, but its bindun! probably the best bang-per-buck you're going to get aside from NOS.

Its dad's birthday on saturday so I'm going up there in the morning and then I'm away in hampshire next week with work (going sunday) so i want to spend some time with the little woman before i go :norty: but I'll deffinatly have to come over to pauls one weekend soon and have a look at a few things. Finally got that rocker cover gasket so the polished jobby can go on! :D one thing I did notice last night was that theres a little metal 'tab' on the dizzy cap and one directly oposite on the dizzy itself, they look kind of like they should have a wire with spade connectors at each end joining them, but they dont... is that important? :S

not wanting to go too far OT, but I see wheels as a commodity, especially rare ones, since if you keep them in tip-top condition you can sell them on for little less than what you bought them for. It depends on your priorities, and I'm a tart

gold centered LM's would look superb on a white C, they certainly suited chrisvr6nos's business partners white skyline when he had it, see chris's signature for a link to his site which probably still has the images on. not sure on the gold on other colours though, its a bit impreza/clio williams for me.

I got a set of pedal covers when i had my valver that didn't look a million miles away from those, I think they cost about £30 from a local chav-mobile shop. Fitting them was a real pain since the holes were in all the wrong places, pretty much right over the arm, and i ended up with (i think) the clutch cover at a bit of a jaunty angle. after 6 months or so the rubber grips and almost worn off, and I had to constantly tighten the bolts to stop the covers coming loose. I suppose you get what you pay for, and those do say they've been specifically designed for VW's, so they might be ok, just in my experiance theres more hasstle involved in fitting them than benifit once they're there.
