Front VR6 Badges, Red and Silver stickers
Billzeebub replied to Roger Chatfield's topic in Forum Group-Buys
Thanks for the reply. I will have to look at getting both VR6 and Corrado rear badg s repainted in a Matt silver close to the original look. Surprised nobody has come up with a solution before. The original badges come form VW with a 'whiteish' undercoat. My Corrado badge is letting my car down! -

Since purchasing the Blackberry, I have had a BMC CDA Induction kit fitted with cold air feed. This kit is not the cheapest but for smiles per mile it takes some beating. Have also bought a more modern Alpine 193BT stereo to fit in place of the very 90s Pioneer currently in use. The Pioneer has so many flashing lights and graphics that it is virtually impossible to decipher any details that matter regards what you may be listening to! I look forward to some imminent clarity on that front. Picked up some original Votex roof bars yesterday for carrying MTBs etc. They are missing a couple of the rubber feet, so need to look at replacements or fabrication of substitute pieces. If anyone has any recommendations or advice, it would be gratefully received. I dare say it's too much to hope that anyone has any knocking about?! -

the first addition was a Cup Holder in place of the rear ashtray. The best £10 I've spent in a while -

WANTED: Corrado VR6, preferably Midnight Blue.

In my opinion that Storm Auto on Pistonheads is vastly over where the market says it should be. Taking a punt on finding a Corrado fanatic who has some health impediment whereby they can't drive a manual! There are really good manual cars around for a heck of a lot less than that -

I would be keen to get a couple of the silver stickers if they become available again. Also, has anybody looked into whether it's possible to get the rear 'Corrado' script done as in my experience no companies can reproduce the original brushed aluminium finish on the badge by painting etc -

Apologies for the other rather dull cars in the photo -

Well, as you refused to sell me yours I had to look elsewhere. Was ideally looking for a Storm, but this car intrigued me. I had missed out on it once before and I heard it may be available. Long story short agreed a deal and have owned it for around a month now. It's a 1995 VR6 Manual in Blackberry with black leather. It's got a huge amount of history, has done 98k miles and is pretty standard spec. Love being back in a Corrado, just feels so right -

WANTED: Corrado VR6, preferably Midnight Blue.
Billzeebub replied to AlexanderSupertramp's topic in Cars for Sale [Corrado]
The VR6 Auto I thought was pretty good. It adjusts to your driving style! I owned one at a time when my budget was restricted and they do usually seem to be priced lower than the equivalent manual transmission cars. When I had mine I lived in traffic riddled North Surrey and it suited me brilliantly. You really need to have a look at one and drive it to see what you think. It's a way into a better maintained car because there is less demand for them generally. -
Can I please take a number and get in line?!
-
That looks sensational. There don't seem to be many around in silver. It would be interesting to know what percentage of the total produced were silver. Standard front end (or back end) always looks best to me

WANTED: Corrado VR6, preferably Midnight Blue.
Billzeebub replied to AlexanderSupertramp's topic in Cars for Sale [Corrado]
There's a moonlight blue Auto that looks very nice advertised on here in the other VAG section, well within budget. I owned an Auto, in Moonlight funnily enough, and it really impressed me. There are also a few cars on eBay at the moment. A couple of them advertised at over £5k, but you never know. Good luck with the search. It helps that you're happy to look at other colours, especially the way prices seem to be going for good cars with the right spec and history. -

Sorted now thanks guys -
It's a sizing, so that one fits a Corrado with least fabrication. As I understand it you will need an 80mm section of silicone tube to connect as well (housing the MAF). Some of the online sellers tell you that the 100-150 is the one you need for a 6 cylinder engine, but apparently it's not the case for the Corrado VR6.
-
I think the 85-150 is the best fit for Corrado

Being discussed already in another thread in Cars for Sale section. No one owned up yet, but a great buy if as described
-
Bump.still looking for one of these. Anyone got a spare knocking about in the garage that's in good nick?
-
then there's the Mystic Storm that's done 310k miles, with sunroof and rear spoiler not working. Has only one photo, not much description and asking price of a fiver short of £10k! Some people are getting carried away, which is understandable, but at least put up a decent advert for a top money vehicle.

as long as the buyer isn't one of the aforementioned speculator-dealer types. Hope it's gone to an enthusiast without a middle man taking a chunk of cash for giving it a wash
