  1. Yep, increase the CB and they will bolt straight up with the spacers and appropriate longer bolts :)
  2. Why not, they work with my Audi TT ones - they fit practically every type of arm fitting there is, inc hook and the better aero pin type
  3. No it was a different set of alloys, I used them as winters for a few months. Pretty sure I used tapered bolts (few years ago now) and no never had any wheel wobble etc. I did offer them up to the hub frequently to make sure I wasn't taking too much off.
  4. https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/ASH-Front-Aero-Twin-Windscreen-Wiper-Blades-FITS-18-19/223621209882?hash=item3410dcdf1a:g:3dUAAOSwhYdZzhD0 Don't be put off by their cheapness, I use these on all my cars now and they are excellent. The only downside is the slight bulkiness of the fitting, which you'll be able to see as they clear your screen perfectly
  5. As Dox has said, flap wheel on a drill, takes about 5 mins per wheel with the double checking every so often as you are literally removing a fraction over 0.5mm all around. Dead easy, even I've done it (on a set of Subaru wheels too as it happens)
  6. Yes that's right, the pas pump is the only thing driven by a v-belt on the G60
  7. G60 is multi rib belt, alternator runs off same belt as the supercharger so is tensioned by the auto tensioner. Squeeking belt will be belt slip due to lack of tension or old belt, one of the two tensioner pulley bearings being knackered or alternator itself. When I had a noise from my belt it was a slightly bent alternator shaft which was moving the belt side to side on the tensioners causing the noise. Not expensive to get alternator rebuilt.
  8. No more than 2 hours labour plus about 25 quid in parts I'd be more concerned about the rusty sills, that'd need attention asap before it gets any worse. Electrics are often problematic on Corrados, so check them and negotiate appropriately. Mechanically pretty basic and parts are cheap as based on the Mk2 Golf. Model specific parts such as fog lights are pretty pricey. I'd buy based on bodywork really as that's expensive to fix
  9. Yeah I agree, I'd love a set of recaros, but could probably never justify the price. I had a factory set in a Mk2 a few years back, but couldn't justify the cost of having the drivers seat repaired at the time, so in the end I sold them as it just annoyed me
  10. https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/RECARO-SPECIALIST-M-PAAR-GRAU-LEDER-NEU-BEZOGEN/283586347243?epid=0&hash=item42071040eb:g:zg8AAMXQ9rVQ6dcQ Here's your grey pair, bit cheaper too at 1500euros :)
  11. From the capital seating website: OEM Installations: The N-Joy, the predecessor to the Specialist, (and variants thereof) are fitted as standard or as an option in the following vehicles: VW Golf Mk2 Ford Escort RS Turbo Ford Sapphire Cosworth BMW E21, E24, E30 Alfa Romeo 75 So you're right that they are basically the correct modern day seat for the Corrado .. but you're looking at £950 per seat plus you have to buy two bases ! Think I'd just pay £2k for factory Corrado recaros personally as you'll get an electric set for that. However, that's almost what I paid for my car in the first place
  12. I thought all Corrados had a hydraulic clutch? OP as swiftkid says, this converts cars with cable operated clutch, such as Mk2 Golf, to a hydraulic operation [when used with a matching gearbox of course]. Generally a better and lighter clutch pedal, although I never bothered on my Mk2s as there's a lot less to go wrong with a cable operated one!
  13. BiggRed sell these I think, can probably tell you which ones you need too.
  14. Aftermarket alarm / central locking?
  15. None of the Mk2 brackets will fit as these are for 020 gearboxes and the Corrados all have 02A 'boxes
  16. Welcome, so you bought the Corrado brand new? A 0 previous owner G60 with full history etc and no mods is pretty desirable, even with that mileage! If you advertise elsewhere stick a link up on here :)
  17. Change your blue temp sensor, check all the vac hoses, check the wiring to the fuel rail .. standard G60 issues
  18. Great stuff, thank you for your efforts mate, appreciated
  19. It does Geeba, can't believe you'd let that go mind, looks like a lot of work has gone into it! OP what's your budget?
  20. Pretty sure the 3 location bolts are in the same place on all 4 cylinder blocks of the era mate. I definitely have a couple in my lock up, but not sure when I'll next be up there, will check back here to see if you still need one next time I'm up there.
  21. Agree the forum needs to keep going, happy to support, however I think the first thing that needs addressing is the Wiki as this is basically what stands out against all the willy waving on facebook/instagram - on here you can get genuine assistance in fault finding / repairs etc etc [basically the best aspect of all the forums of the past] whereas this has been lost on social media platforms.
  22. :thumbleft: love this post mate, you're spot on and I actually think most people would agree, but heaven forbid you disagree with the new and ever more ridiculous politically/socially correct bullcrap these days .. the outrage! Oh the outrage :2gunfire: Greta in particular needs to get herself back to school to learn Chinese and go preaching over there..
  23. Got to be temperature related right, so old wiring breaking down when it gets hot, or a temp sensor. Can't remember what the temp sensors are on the KR, but think there's three on the side of the head that often cause probs? Google it and see. Might be worth un-wrapping the engine loom and cleaning it up looking for breaks/damage etc. You say you've checked the timing, but do you mean static or dynamic? Have you put a light on it to see what the timing is doing when it is idling rough? When was the cam chain last changed? Could have stretched causing issues if it's a high miler. No guarantee on 'new' ISVs in my experience either, best thing you can do is test it on another vehicle if there's another 16v owner in your area
