  1. Buy cheap ones and use large jubilee clips around them with little zipties to prevent them coming off, this gives you plenty of strength so no risk of breaking
  2. I'm moving house :(

    ABS Sensor

Under the rear seat I believe, but someone will confirm
  4. You need reasonable cause I'm afraid and not sure you have it https://www.gov.uk/request-information-from-dvla
  5. I went along, was decent, especially with it being the Rallye 30th anniversary, was great to see so many in one place :) Like you say Cressa, poor showing of Corrados, but there were a couple dotted about Tom, yes Elsecar has been around for years, although it has only been 'at the races' (ie moved to Donny racecourse as it outgrew previous venue in Elsecar) for a couple of years. It'll be happening next year I'm sure, although it's usually on the Easter Monday; presumably it was moved this year as Easter is so late
  6. Not mine, look ok https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/VW-Corrado-full-black-leather-interior-16v-G60-VR6/283429312402?hash=item41fdb41792:g:LToAAOSwJcdcsa8i

    ABS Sensor

They are only hard to remove if you don't want to break them. Hammer / screwdriver / punch / chisel .. what ever you have to hand really. Allen headed retaining bolt which may be a bit rusty, heat will do the trick if that's the case
  8. All you can do is look mate, clean up the block if necessary then leave it a day to see where the oil reappears. Trying to guess without looking at it basically puts you in ‘pull the motor and rebuild replacing all seals’ territory because engines can leak from anywhere and everywhere
  9. Nice motor :) that'll certainly liven up the VR! Get it on there
  10. I completely missed this thread too, did the meet happen? If you put something on a little later in the year I'll definitely try and get along in my VR as I'm only over in Huddersfield
  11. I use RH Specialist Insurance, just paid £110 fully comp standard VR6, covering myself, my wife and my dad on 3k limited miles Medium risk area, in my 30s, no points etc
  12. I reckon it'll be your earths or your starter motor as it has been sat Disconnect the battery and then remove and clean all your connections to starter / alternator and most importantly the earth to the gearbox / battery tray. If still no joy, a couple of taps on the starter motor perhaps to see if it goes, then you're in new / refurbished starter motor territory. I presume it bump started ok?
  13. Again, this is a G60 is it not MooG60?

    Rear coilovers

    Here you go https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Mk3-Golf-Gti-Pro-Sport-Coilovers-And-Standard-Rear-Shocks-And-Springs/254172408679?hash=item3b2ddb2b67:g:BjYAAOSwLMRck7X7
  15. I thought the OP has a G60, not a VR6?
  16. Be interesting to know if there's actually any difference between fitment for the different engines, other than the bore of the pipe?
  17. That's a good point actually, if we merged a few forums of the same marque we would get a lot more traffic in one place
  18. It's a Mocal kit and you're covered by ebay's buyer protection, so can't see any issues. The only problem with these kits is whether the hoses are the right length for where you are going to locate it. Sometimes it's better to mount it all up, then get the hoses made up at a local place once you know the exact lengths, they're nothing overly special so any decent hydraulic/pipe shop will be able to sort you out :)
  19. I think this sums it up, I've tried to use FB a few times for classifieds etc, but just can't figure it out, stuff you post seems to disappear almost instantly and I've no idea how to search for stuff etc. However, forum classifieds are completely dead, so I'm stuck paying ebay / paypal horrendous fees to get rid of stuff, which ultimately just makes parts more expensive as you try to cover some of your costs. I remember back in the day when you'd post stuff on the Ed38 classifieds and it'd be on page 2 or 3 within a couple of hours! Bring back those days, the forums were brilliant
  20. Is it a genuine part from heritage?
  21. Pretty sure there's an adapter in the Ross Tech cable kit to connect to the two pins on a G60
  22. Ah, then you need to raise it manually first http://the-corrado.net/showthread.php?39833-CORRADO-SPOILER
  23. Sorry, I didn't mean a visual check (it's electrical so unless it's obviously wrecked, looking at it isn't going to tell you anything). When was it last replaced? Is the wiring all ok? You can temporarily swap the blue plug onto the black sensor and see if it improves. What is your starting point for all this? Have you done all the basic G60 checks? - Service - ECU vac hose - fuel rail wiring check - air leaks - boost leaks - basic tune (static timing -> dynamic timing -> idle adjustment -> CO pot adjustment)
  24. Yeah, the blue one is for the ECU, black one is for the dash
  25. Sounds temperature related, what condition is your blue sensor in? These are notorious for causing issues on G60s
