  1. Hope that's 800rpm you mean mate Glad you've sorted it, those pumps are a pain when they start to go wrong

    power steering pump

Do you know what part number you're after? I've got a couple of pumps in the garage but not 100% what they're off.
  3. Pah G60 is better anyway :) Please don't do an engine conversion on a nugget yellow, they are seriously rare. I have a low mileage blackberry VR that I would do a deal on with you rather than see a nice nugget messed with Enjoy it, fantastic engine and colour choice :D
  4. As above, you shouldn't need to remove the beam brackets though, unless you want to refubish them or deal with rust underneath. If you plan on removing them to tart them up I wouldn't bother as you can indeed mess up the alignment if they don't go back in the same place. Any garage with proper 4wheel laser alignment kit can adjust the rear for you, but 99.9% won't want to mess with it and will pedal the 'it's not adjustable' rubbish. Rear ARBs make a big difference to the handling, improving it massively in my opinion. They are a piece of **** to fit on the rear and I've never noticed that you can fit them the wrong way up - this is only a problem on the front. They utilise a longer bolt (supplied in kit) that goes through the bottom of the strut and then two clamps around the beam with poly bushes - where these clamps go is not overly important, just spaced evenly. You'll work it out in 2 mins when you offer it up :)

    MK4/Polo Shifter

I've put the Polo housing in my 1991 Corrado G60 and my cables do touch the tunnel. Based on where the cables come out of the Polo housing I don't see how this cannot happen. I took a hammer to my tunnel to ease it away from the cables, but they are still touching. I imagine the only way to fix this is to space the housing downwards slightly.
  6. Ok, cool, so what other symptoms have you got? If I'm honest I don't really understand how you're seeing 'overboost' and losing all power .. what is happening if you apply even throttle in, say, 3rd gear up to and through the 3.5k rpm point you say is causing trouble. Does it make a difference how hot or cold the engine is? (not suggesting you go ahead and abuse your engine when cold by the way)
  7. What chip have you got in it? Do you have the ISV removed? What have you done about the boost return?
  8. Fan and housing on ebay http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/192327420527?ssPageName=STRK:MESELX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1555.l2649
  9. Wowsers, I sold one on eBay this year for a tenner .. always just depends on whether anyone needs one at the time I guess
  10. Some useful info in this thread http://www.dubforce.net/forums/index.php?/topic/21875-g60-supercharger-rebuild-and-how-to-chip-your-ecu/
  11. RH Specialist are decent, they insure my G60 and VR
  12. All been fixed and nothing out of the ordinary for a car of that age. Shame its got a cloth interior, for that money you want leather or Recaros really.
  13. RH Specialist insure all my cars, usually about £100 per vehicle with 5k mileage and breakdown cover. I also have an agreed value laid up policy with them for my splitscreen van at £35 p/a :)
  14. Well, got it freed off, bled the brakes and got fluid through, but only when the valve was fully pulled open. Anyway, bolted it back to the spring and took it for an MOT ... nadda on the rear brakes. Handbrake was fine this time (I'd adjusted it) so we knew calipers were ok, so guys at the garage kindly played with the compensator for me. It went through the MOT in the end, but the compensator has been adjusted open as far as it will go on the elongated hole, so not in the best shape. Guys at the garage said it may 'free up' with some use, but basically I should look to replace it over winter. Anyway, another 12m ticket, happy days:) Thanks for comments and advice
  15. Location? Coming to Tatton park on Sunday?
  16. Any damage at all or been drilled previously? Where are you based? Cheers
  17. Yeah, grind the head off, then drill and tap. You could try adding some weld to give something to grip onto as an alternative, this also heats the bolt pretty well of course so will help free it.

    49% off in Feb

Would also like to echo the thanks for putting these up Dox, very useful :)
  19. Cool, good to know Yep, just like on a Mk2, will do Blathered it in WD40 last night, will see if I can free it off some more tonight.
  20. This has been for sale since December and I notice the price has recently increased by £500, so there's probably some wiggle room... http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Volkswagen-Corrado-2-0-8v-95-M-Reg-Massive-service-history-/332310183386?hash=item4d5f3afdda:g:wp4AAOSw-ldZYIld
  21. Fair enough, depends whether it's Heritage or Classic Parts then I guess, as Classic Parts are VW and have remade parts like Mk2 Golf G60 arches from the original tooling. Like you say, good news either way :)
  22. Replicas but using the original tooling I would have thought .. therefore OEM parts :)
  23. Thank you for the replies. Good idea putting weight in the boot, thanks. Yeah I'll try WD40 tonight to see if it will free up some more. Might try bleeding the brakes too actually to check fluid is coming through OK, I've read that it's the same regardless of whether you have ABS - I was under the impression you needed to use VAGCom to bleed them
