    If you suspect the alty PAS pump or water pump, slip the drive belt off and start the car up for a few seconds without it on. It could also be the tensioner?

    All the 4 cyl pumps I've seen are 4 hard lines in / out, VRs are 6 hard lines in / out

    I parked on a multi storey carpark in Chester yesterday and I thought it looked very small and dated against the newer metal. On the plus side I drove past 5 Aston Martins going in the opposite direction, but no Corrados, we are members of a very exclusive club!

    I've got an old faded debadged grill in the loft and some poundland black spray paint in the shed, I might have a play with it in the next couple of days. When I've used the paint before its given a satin look to it anyway

    I've never seen another fitted to a MK2 or Corrado, but mine was new boxed 1 of 4 when I got to the stall and from a main dealer. This was pre internet and ebay, so back in the day main dealers would attend inters and sell obsolete stock and service items as well as new and used cars, anything to pay wages and the cost of their stands, not like now where everyone sells remaps.................

    It may be the bracket that sits on the mount causing problems? It may be worth checking its part number and posting it up for other's who've done the conversion to confirm its correct?
