    Suspension Kit - VR6

Bigger bars make the car less predictable in the wet - they let go all of a sudden when cornering hard - you don't get the weight transfer to the outside wheel that you get with softer bars. If you hit a pot hole on one wheel only then the bar acts as an additional spring - you're twisting the bar rather than the bar swinging up or down should both wheels hit a speed ramp, trench or expansion gap on a motorway bridge etc Does anyone have eibach springs fitted?
  3. I'd like the speedo centre caps and belt tensioner bearing posted please
  4. I'm sure it had pics and a lower price tag previously? If you "End listing" too often because its sold "Elsewhere" ebay charge you the full fee anyway, I've doubled the price of items myself to ensure the item remains unsold. This seller could be doing the same?
  5. If you look on eurocarparts site it give disk specs if you click on "Part Details" I thought it was fiat coupe 20v NON turbo 284mm disks used in conjunction with 288mm callipers?

    Indicator fault

I'd be checking and cleaning all earth points near the light units front and rear.

    Heater Matrix Blow out

Sounds like a bargain to me, cash job I take it? The matrix is around £40. I'd send the tech a link to a guide as it might just save broken obsolete plastics and him some time too
  9. I did mine a week ago, the way to measure is centre of the wheel vertically to the arch lip, this way wheel and tyre size doesn't affect the out come Measurements taken from the top of the arch to the centre of the cap on the speedlines OSF 13.5 inches NSF 14.25 inches Rear 14.5 inches both sides
  10. For an engine to run it needs; To be timed correctly (crank and cam(s)in there relevant positions) A spark at the plugs? Fuel in the cylinders? (Remove the spark plugs after cranking, are they wet with petrol? Does the exhaust smell of petrol?) Compression in the cylinders? What's missing?

    Mk4 golf GTi

Need to be a member to see it?
  12. I think you'll find the sump mounted sensor is oil level, most vag engines have them, it illuminates the orange light on the OE dash

  14. Looking through previous posts the car has been off road for 8 years, was it with these tyres resting on the ground?
  15. What voltage reading do you get at the plug?
  16. Screwdriver in the sparkplug hole and rock the engine back and forth using a socket on the crank pulley
  17. Did you get the doors and bonnet home without damage?

    Suspension Kit - VR6

I think someone asked for ride heights for standard VR6 suspension? Measurements taken from the top of the arch to the centre of the cap on the speedlines OSF 13.5 inches NSF 14.25 inches Rear 14.5 inches both sides
  21. Sorry, I wasn't very clear, I meant to say I'd rather lightly used early 90s OE springs than new OE or non genuine ones, pre 1998 you hardly ever heard of broken springs on VAG cars, now its common place. What's the issue with the steering?
  22. I'd rather have OE than replacements, I can't ever remember a post here saying they had a broken spring? Newer VAG stuff breaks springs like no tomorrow, I suspect certain processes have been replaced with modern more environmentally friendly ones making them work harden and snap. KYB list them for Corrado front and rear, loads on ebay
