  1. Glad you got it open in the end mate, should have warned you it was a 10Mb file. :) Looking forward to seeing what you get modelled up. I simply don't have time. Jay
  2. Not a bad idea. Put 10 in a box say and split the carriage and duty. Jay
  3. Certainly looks feasible. Can't remember what Gareths is putting out now? Jay
  4. I need them too. Anyone got a part number handy save me loading up ETKA. Jay
  5. I would go all OEM apart from the front wishbones, where I would put R32 ones in the back of the wishbone and powerflex in the front of the wishbone. Jay
  6. How about an iges file of a 3D scan of the ball joint, would that do you? :D Jay
  7. Very interesting thread. Love the detail. Jay
  8. I looked at that exact idea Sam, but the Non-VR6 BJ is 90 degrees to the wishbone, where as the VR6 BJ is about 45/50 degrees to the wishbone. Sort of back on its self if that makes sense. So any extender would need to allow for that and if I am honest I ran out of time trying to work out the geometry and any affect it would have.... Jay
  9. I tend to run 1 degree negative each side minimum. Always found it helps when you load the front end up a bit. Tyre wear is pretty much always down to toe, which, assuming all the bushes etc are good, is why I run paralell. Jay
  10. Big personal preference thing really. I always tend to go paralell on the front toe and a degree or so negative on the front camber. Jay
  11. Press out the centre metal sleeve first, should come out quite easily. Then you should be able to easily press out the polyeurthane part of the bush a lot easier. They are "slippery" things, which is why they are not actually ideal for that position on the wishbone and if I were you I would be fitting R32 OEM ones instead as the poly ones tend to dislocate from the wishbone. Jay
  12. As bad driving as that is, how good does a Corrado look coming round a corner like that :) Jay
  13. Kev, the MK4 hubs are far too "tall" unfortunately. Would be very very very interested if H2 Sport do some.... Jay
  14. Shotgun if you get rid of the V3's Kev ;) jay
  15. The nuts have an anti rattle "barbed" surface on the back and I will probably add a dab of locktite on them anyway. You could of course use ny-lock nuts. To be honest though, the factory ones are threaded into the motor anyway so they too could come loose technically :) Jay
  16. In answer to your question, my mate Doug (Tribetype40) originally sourced the seats and made the subframes and re-trimmed them in the brown leather as part of his Aston Martin themed interior. They come up here and there on the web, but are not easy to find. Awesome seat though. Basically a tilting bucket. Jay
  17. Trouble is if you ever need to remove it again, and let's face it, it's a Corrado so you will, you have to drill the rivets again. This way it's just 3 nuts :) I am going to be so fussy about every clip on this car, normally I am "customising" things so I make it the best possible I can, but on this one VW have already done it all for me so I will just make sure everything goes back as it was if not better ;)
  18. Tiny update. I managed to get literally 10 minutes on the car this evening and spent it sorting out the window mechanism mountings. In order to remove the window mechanism from the old doors I had to drill out the rivets. This meant the rubber bobbins which support the motor were ruined. So I bought some M6 exhaust mount bobbins, which are a perfect replacement for the riveted bobbins. They screw straight in the existing M6 holes in the motor and will bolt through the door where the rivets previously were. I have not fitted them in the door yet as I did not have any time, but I am happy they will work and will be easily removable if necessary. Jay
  19. Oh! Can I have a high res one please :)
  20. It would have been condensation from the evaporator pipes. Diavia wrapped them up in a mastic goo and left it at that, so any gaps and you would get condensation and drips. Unfortunately as I said before the installs they did were not pretty!
  21. Cheers Craig. I will try and add as much detail as I can as I go along. I have to admit it's so nice to be starting with a car which is sooo complete this time, even if something needs replacing at least it is there to know it needs replacing :)
  22. There was some good sunlight on that bit when I took the picture, but it certainly shows the pearl thats there. Car is now in the garage so I can start working through everything. One of my key things is to ensure every clip on things like the door loom is back exactly where it should be, as there are some really hidden ones up inside the door which are obviously there for a reason and is one reason why this car is still so tight! Hopefully get a bit of time on it tomorrow. Jay
  23. UPDATE: Finally got round to spending a bit of time on the car today after all the efforts in getting the garage sorted. I had previously picked up a pair of Dark Burgundy Pearl Doors as when I bought the car I noticed some quite bad damage to the trailing edge of the drivers door and some significant parking dents in the passenger door. So this afternoon I removed both of the doors off the car and replaced them with the new pair I had waiting. The nice thing was when I removed the door cards from the car the membranes on both sides have never been removed and I managed to carefully get them off in one piece. Also every, clip, screw and trim bit was there and had never been taken off. So I will be putting them back together very carefully once everything is reconnected. A couple of pics showing the state of the original door. The un-touched membrane and the excellent condition of the A pillars behind the doors :) Slow progress really but, so far so good...
