odd that flux wouldnt budge did you give them a more competitive quote from somewhere else to beat? i ask that as ive been with flux for many many years & every year they beat any better quote i get
-
give it a bit of time & someone will pick this up for you
-
brilliant! do it m8 & post his reply worth asking why his prices are so high too ;) lol
-
ahhh im with you now - i did wonder when i looked at the other link you posted oh, ive just creamed now!! lol i thought it was a 993 GT2 - ive got asperger's & one of my skills of that means i can recognise many many vehicles by just small odd angles & features is the gulf livery one with the boot lid open to the right of the CTR the 993? IIRC the 993 & 996 version GT2's had different rear wings - ive always liked the triangular type openings on the 993 version :D do you know if it was true that they fed the air into the turbo's? & when can i book in to come see you & these glorious motors pls, pretty pls? ;)
-
WHOA - that is more major than i thought!! you dont see many RUF pokers let alone one of that nature how id love a go in that! FYI the 993 GT2 is one of my top 3 motors :D
-
geeba is that a 993 GT2 in the background in gulf livery!!?? the rear spoiler & arch flares look like it is
-
ahh i see never seen those before

ive got one fella but it would take more than 1k to part with it ;) -
ahh i thought it was the bits that clipped on to the outside of the screen this was the kit: item 535-845-100 windscreen moulding trim set £47.58
-
have you tried VW Heritage? i brought a front windscreen kit only a couple of weeks back but it is not on their website
-
great news graham - really pleased it is working out for you & yes be careful with your rev range on that freshly rebuilt bottom end out of interest, did they re-hone the block too? 37 on the mfa is good & about average if you drive the VR lazily - it always makes me laugh the way new car manf's go on about 45mpg etc when we can get very close to that with our 20 year old motors ;)
-
very tidy! that figure is now making me think about another map to take advantage of my exhaust lol the difference in power delivery is superb isnt it :) yup big brakes help - i am loving my new HiSpec Billet 4's! a world away from OE front brakes
-
thanks those 2 pics were from the 1st time i owned it paint work is now a little battered but it was still my old car when i got it back
-
indeed m8 - it shifted to white being everywhere on new cars a couple of years ago ive always loved the rado in white, it was one of the reasons i brought my valver back after parting with it for a few years - that & the ultra rare Kamei kit ;) lol
-
i believe so, even back when they were available i was told by the guy who i got my VR off that he had put one of the last genuine new cassettes in from VW shortly before i brought it about 7 years ago there are threads about replacing the cassette with ones from other vehicles, which might give you an option if you cant repair your current one, however IIRC they are getting harder to find too
-
oooo nice work Spen! did you get a remap to take advantage of them too? if yes, what was your result? i had mine mapped before i got the Longlife SS exhaust, it would have been nice to have had it after but funds wouldnt allow. mine made 209.6 with the 263's & BMC oh & how are you liking the mod?
-
nice thanks Spen - ive printed that too :)
-
mmmm white loveliness!! ;)
-
oh dear, i am guessing you are unaware that they can be an issue with most corrado's there are many threads on here about them, have a search & im sure you will find lots of info - good luck
-
welcome Luka sorry to hear of your woes caused by poor mechanics, i tend to only trust my 2 rado's to the mechanic who has worked on my cars for about 25 years have a look at this for your climatronic http://the-corrado.net/showthread.php?83431-MK4-Climatronic-AC-conversion-what-parts-needed&highlight=climatronic now your VR has a proper 2.9 lump you have a true corrado VR6 ;) LOL

Test fitter - for a boring but important part 535-857-543

nice work Anna - they often crack after removing -
i see, thanks for explaining i am fussy with tires on the VR, only run correct 205/50's in a bridgestone format
-
Correct, the valver doesnt have abs - does that make much difference Dox?
-
oh & part worns can be a bargain if £'s are tight im not too fussy with tires on the valver & i got some avon zv5's which were virtually brand new, even still had the little pointy feeler bits on the edges, for £30 each fitted
-
i run 16" BBS RX2's on the early valver - think they were off a polo gt or something with 195/45's on the front & OE suspension i dont get any issues. cant recall the ET but i dont need spacers i have left the 205/50's on the rear for the moment as they are ok on the back & give a tiny hot rod wheel feel to the look
