holy cow on a stick Graphite! those pics are drool worthy is that an LS7 sat in the engine cradle? i am pretty good on identifying cars from odd angles & just their tail lights etc but i dont recognise T70 GDS next to the cobra's, what is it pls? oh & in similar vein to Fla - do you need a good IT techy there? lol EDIT - oooo google has revealed my mistake, they are not cobra's, they are GD's - WOW!!!

its not star wars as all of mine was stolen when i was little but i do have a complete & boxed generation 1 Transformers JetFire in the loft it is one thing i am glad i kept from childhood - unfortunately, but not at the time as i brought my first car with the proceedings, i sold the stack of marvel comics i had which included a first print No1 edition of The Hulk (where he was grey not green) & Journey into mystery No83 which was the first appearance of Thor if only i had them now :( lol

sweet that is good news very much appreciated as it implies i will only have to very slightly stretch the Kamei front skirt to get the full kit on the VR

hmm i wonder what the actual selling price was - great to see it has sold now :) -
IIRC the gf's old storm used to play up with starting when warm & i believe one of the things she had changed to fix it was the crank sensor i cant recall what else was tried though sorry
-
that is good info thanks yandards someone here helped me with bumper measurements a while ago as i was investigating if the Kamei front splitter i have in the loft, which is designed for early models, would fit the late bumper of my VR - if the difference is only about 10mm there might be enough flex to accomodate do you know if the late rear arches have a similar flare to the front? the Kamei kit is skirts all round & sides are no issue

another issue with the bullet in space could be that the aliens wouldnt let you fire it - as they theoretically did with the US when they tried to detonate a nuke in space/on the moon ;) LOL http://www.collective-evolution.com/2017/05/17/the-united-states-tried-to-detonate-a-nuclear-weapon-on-the-moon-somebody-responded-when-we-did/

ooo good point about gravity Dr :)

what an intersting post Veedubbed! sound in space - hmm space being a vaccuum, does sound traverse across a vaccuum? i know that movie depictions of explosions in space are fiction as there is no oxygen in space to ignite any flames but i wonder if the vibrations from said explosion would travel i would guess at yes as at a molecular level absolutely everything is & has a vibration, it is the frequency of said vibrations that makes them work in the way they do, thus by proxy sound waves would travel a quick google & it seems this is an even more interesting question as space itself does not contain molecules, thus a sound wave can not be heard as it doesnt have any molecules to vibrate & cause our ears to hear them. however, it says NASA has proven that sound can travel through space in electromagnetic vibrations, thus negating the need for air molecules to vibrate as we do on earth for our ears to hear it, which can them be transferred into sounds we could hear as for the bullet/gun, again as space is a vacuum & if newtons laws applied (every action has an equal & opposite reaction) the bullet & gun would both, upon firing, accelerate in opposite directions & as there is nothing in space to push back against said acceleration they would both travel at their terminal velocity, which i think would be equal to their acceleration speeds, forever or until they hit an object which absorbed their energy

i can personally recommend Longlife exhausts - i got my VR done with them, 2.5" stainless from bottom of downpipe back with hiflow CAT for £400 a while back -
nice chat with a man about paint for the VR on the weekend :) anyone know if rear side window rubbers are available?
-
you would have thought so but the output from the exhaust looks very similar a way to tell between the 2 is to get the vapour over your hands & then see if they feel oily mine had Vince head scratching a little, hence his additional testing
-
is it a daily? if not removal of said tires then a fresh strip & powder coat should sort the current ones out
-
just my 2 pence worth but are those reporting 'smoking' still on the OE exhaust & CAT? i ask this as my VR would look like it was smoking after cold start up & i too thought it could be worn valves or seals. I was told it was likely that oil was leaking past them when standing over night, thus causing some smoke on the next morning (the VR has never used much oil at all & well within the VW tolerances) however this was still the case after Stealth rebuilt the top end the 'smoking' stopped after i had a new Longlife exhaust with hiflow CAT some time after said rebuild which then tied in with the testing that Vince did where he told me that the old CAT was holding moisture in it which would cause the smoking until said CAT got nice & hot

pleasure m8 have fun when you do. i find sanding very satisfying & rewarding when you get the end result you want with some elbow grease ive managed to turn a couple of my house internal doors from marked & dull 'just' doors into lovely 'features' & the stair case looks a world away from the gloss painted crap when i first moved in :D
-
i see - a little too far for an offer of a loan of mine then lol
-
interesting Robby - do you know where or have a link pls?
-
OK thanks for the tips Jon :)
