g0ldf1ng3r replied to EJ Taylor's topic in Drivetrain
thanks i wont go brembos - either the full hog to hispec 4 pots or 288's for a cheaper solution -

tidy thanks sean :) think i may go that route if it turns out to be a front caliper sticking on the VR - though im going to call hispec just to see about their 280mm billet 4 solution -

well, they have had some big bloody price increase latest from hispec site - Billet 4 Anodised Caliper Conversion Price excl vat £746.05 the conversion says for 16" wheel & a 285mm disc but ive read on there that they can do them for a 280mm standard OE size disc & fit under a 15" think ive got a sticky caliper on the VR so gona give them a ring but doubt i will be able to afford am i right that 288mm setup from mk3 golf will fit under a 15" speedline? -
winner winner chicken dinner! well done on the promo too :)

no problem i keep meaning to ebay the Zender as apparently they are super rare & rather pricey had another quick look on the bay for you - 2 types on UK bay http://www.ebay.co.uk/sch/i.html?_from=R40&_trksid=p2050601.m570.l1313.TR0.TRC0.H0.Xvw+corrado+rear+window+spoile.TRS0&_nkw=vw+corrado+rear+window+spoiler&_sacat=0 good luck
-
ok - worth asking they have some on the US ebay
-
hi mab are you referring to an upper or lower rear window spoiler? i ask as i have a Zender rear wing in the loft - it is one of these http://www.superstreetonline.com/how-to/project-car/0408ec-volkswagen-corrado-slc-supercharger-stage-2/#photo-12

nice milestone! my valver his 177177 last week, which for some reason i liked & got a pic too pity it was only 10 miles off on the resettable tacho too, 167, damn lol
-
i have one of those on the VR - vince from stealth recommended it
-
another 'this' i run ring xenon ultima bulbs in both my rado's, both with uprated looms & the light output is superb
-
they are yummy - i have some :D lol
-
if windows platform - google windows image resizer, install & then it is as simple as select the pictures, right click & select resize then choose medium & hit ok - you will then have the original image along with the (medium) version of it i know they will work as this is what i do lol
-
great news apart from the NCB but yay still lol
-
welcome back - nice find any car you buy will always have some things needing doing, i am sure you know that well enough - enjoy it & try not to worry too much :)

Heater Blower Motor Making 'Whirring' Noises......
g0ldf1ng3r replied to VR-Sixy's topic in Interior
the heater blower's were noisey on both my VR & 16v replaced them with an ebay one for under £30 - here you go - http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/INTERIOR-HEATER-BLOWER-MOTOR-VW-CORRADO-192959101-/321157973200?hash=item4ac681c4d0:g:ZAwAAOSwv0tVgFEz now both powerful & quiet :) & a guide on changing just in case (though note the is a small clip which you need to pull down to allow the motor to rotate out) http://website.lineone.net/~quigger/heater.htm -
thanks i was expecting some harranging from the G community lol
-
appreciate your thanks :) i understand the desire for standard but unfortunately in the corrado world it just simply isnt possible with some parts take suspension for example, the majority of the components to build up the standard suspension has been discontinued with VW for many years now i would also suggest looking into the reliability side of BBM as from what i have read on here over the years the G ladder doesnt seem to be very robust & needs regular servicing & rebuilds, which are very costly themselves
-
have a listen Jim courtesy of BBM or one in a rado at around 5:11 my response when i heard one was WOW but they are a little high pitched
-
there is always the US http://www.bahnbrenner.com/vw_audi/products/2652/BBM_G60_TWIN_SCREW_SUPERCHARGER_KIT BBM's are awesome but at a price but it is a 'turn key' solution for those with G60's (i know i am tempting fate here but honestly no offence intended - this thread really makes me happy ive got a VR & not a G!!)
-
very good point delfinis & worthy of a response from the OP methinks!
-
wow i cant quite believe that cost for such a short life/distance :( hope you get it sorted
