  1. out of interest Rob, where did you get the new closed sell & underlay? & was the delivery 'speedy' ;) (sorry couldn't resist lol)
  2. popped to the shop at break although it hasn't rained hard it has done so gently for a couple of hours I don't want to jinx it but no trickle line & dry carpets were a nice find :D major hose test on the weekend if no heavy rain methinks
  3. very interesting info thanks David PS I do love your profile picture!!
  4. ARZ have some but they are crystal's http://www.arz-tuning.de/shop/en/Lighting/VW/Corrado/Turn-Signals-Side-Repeaters ahh no longer states if early or late though :(
  5. sorry fella, already wet here might be dry tomorrow hopefully....as per my drivers carpet too when I go check in a bit lol
  6. it feels a tad odd to type this but yay rain! lol crossing of fingers & toes
  7. thanks for the feedback about the seats rob & sean :) I was thinking of the airbrush'ing method as it should also go further - nice that a good result was achieved with a sponge though as for the leak - the VR needs a good wash this weekend so plenty of hose water will be going on the drivers side & crossing of fingers lol
  8. what an absolute state!!! both the car & the listing
  9. still no rain but thus still no leak, yay lol
  10. the black do still look nice Jim. they have a better outer finish than the OE hoses & of course the lovely logo in white will stand out my blue ones have been on since Nov 2014. i have given them a quick wipe over a few times but nothing major. i do plan on 'sprucing' them up with some auto glym engine bay cleaner stuff but as you can see from the pic in the link i posted above the colour remains strong so far i think the only hose to get a bit mucky is the one which connects to the PCV valve. as per with the issue it has with the jubilee clip, this is due to the final section of the hose after the 90 degree elbow being very short
  11. very small development here m8 but only with regard to preparation my friend at work has just told me he has a hobby type air brush bun & air line jobby I can borrow when I tackle my seats. I hope by using that rather than a makeup sponge stolen off the gf it will give a better finish
  12. i must say Jon, i really do like my blue ones they also go perfectly with the new magnecor's fitted a week or 2 ago :D http://the-corrado.net/showthread.php?44751-g0ldf1ng3r-s-VR6-amp-1-8-16V/page30
  13. very tidy MZPog, thanks i should try this on my valver accelerator cable
  14. lol i think he meant at the photos m8, rather than meeting you in person. he is in the UK ;)
  15. don't forget to get yourself one of the one time use clamp clips for the connection to the PCV valve Jim, or remind Vince as he did a nice little fix on mine when he fitted them ;)
  16. that's a cracker there sean, many thanks
  17. i know you have contacted rob but PM marks2 & EJ Taylor as well m8, as they responded to your post im sorry, i would like to help but it is too far for me
  18. happy to help m - hopefully it is the usual part that has broken & his kit can help FYI Daves16v kit, in various forms, has been tried & tested successfully many times by lots of users of this forum & elsewhere. his work is not to be confused with tat from places like ebay i have handle kits on both sides of the VR. one of his short shifters in the VR & will be buying one for my valver. i also have a plethora of 'shiny' parts from him on the VR too :D
  19. get yourself on the suppliers thread - Daves16v does a handle repair kit I currently have them on both of the VR handles & will buy some for the valver just in case, sorry for when they go lol
  20. a spring loaded neck - such that your corrado will cause you to turn & look at it EVERY time you walk away from it
  21. ha ha I nearly wrote the same about west midlands EJ lol I am 40 2 weeks on Friday & only managed to sell my flat to buy a house at end 2014 - even then it was only thanks to a very helpful nan & granddad & gf's mom!!
  22. it looks good when static or at a show - my mechanics son has a lupo & my word it bites my cherry every time I see it its a 1 litre, runs on fumes, goes for miles, got full heated leather (cant recall what out of), a few bits plasti dipped, gorgeous alloys & air ride. it is one mean looking lupo once dropped when at rest seriously makes me consider selling the valver & going to a lupo! lol
  23. IIRC you should never be on the bump stops as that means your suspension is not taking care of the travel I know this is the case for VW camper vans. it is very common for them to be lowered so much they sit on the bump stops. this in turn causes a horrible crashey ride & effects the steering too air ride is the way forward if you want silly low lol
