Tiny update...just to keep a record of whats happening with the VR 1. Missing passenger height adjustment handle fitted. Purchased the replacement off Dave16v. It also came with the 2x screws to hold it in which was handy - Cheers Dave. The whole seat needed to be taken out to get this fitted as it was a bit difficult in situ. This was not a big problem as I had experience from taking the seat out when I did my interior carpets so I knew the procedures. 2. Dont get many back seat passengers in the VR. Noticed a great big spider web in my rear seat (see pic)Its a real work of art. I dont mind spiders living and building webs on my wing mirror outside. If its inside its a step to far and it had to be evicted. Dont worry no spider was harmed in the process. Took it to a new home in a nearby bush. 3. Been so tempted with so many nice corrados for sale recently. R32 engined, supercharged one and nugget G60 etc etc but Iam still very happy with the one that I have. With this forum knowledge I feel confident in the corrado ownership. 4. Day off + sunny day = Took car out for a spin. Still loving it.

Oh Deer :) It could have been a lot worst. Looks like an easy fix with just the headlights and indicators.

Nice work there...proper hands on on the driveway.

Dont forget to take some pics of all these parts before fitting so that we can have drool on them :)

I remember this car when you took it to the cat and fiddle corrado meet in the North West a few years back. Glad your keeping it.

Didnt know there was a serpentine belt cover for the vr6. Wondered what that looks like too ?

Look at my thread page 3 post 22. Its only showing the driver side as the passenger side was taken off. http://the-corrado.net/showthread.php?48846-VWVW-Enjoying-another-nice-day-out-with-the-VR/page3&highlight=VWVW

Should be the same as the one thats in the boot. Use that as a reference at Halfords for example.

Great work there. Not the esiest job to do in this weather. I used carpet cleaner 1001 to clean mine and a fine brush and any stubborn greasy bits I used Autoglym tar remover.
-
Good job in getting your interior looking the way it is now. Looking at your other interior shots I dont know where I would start if it was me. Bet you cant wait to get it on the road and start driving it.

Hi Dave...Do you have the height adjustment handle for the front passenger seat and the screw to go with it by any chance.
-
Would this be an idea...You could just cut to shape some vaccum cleaner filter and just cover over the foliage cover at the top. Hold it down with some tape etc

Its always a risk... Its a risk I am willing to take with the sun shining as it is today :)

+1...very nice sunset picture and really likeing the Nothelle 350mm steering wheel. Think it suits the corrado interior in my opinion. Where did you find it ???

Just a little update... 1. Got the car Taxed for another 6 months today also 2. I bought these missing corrado foam items a while back from Dave16V and today I got them fitted just for completness. I guess they play a part in reducing road noise and filling the void in the rear seats area. I can only presume they were removed in the past by the Audio/ tracker fitter during the previous ownership and never put back very odd ??? 3. Took her out for a spin in the sun afterwards with the sunroof wide open. That was great !

Here one of mine...

what type off ££££ would i be looking at
VWVW replied to Ricardo_lombardi's topic in General Car Chat
it can also be used on a ginnetta G60 http://www.topgear.com/uk/car-news/ginetta-g60-revealed-2011-10-06 -
Glad you got the picture side sorted. Storm looks great.

They will still be usable if you use double sided number plate tapes or similar tapes to hold them down. I broke one of mine before and its still held in securely after 2 years with tape.
-
your in Luck Dave16v have the item you want in his breaker list see link below http://the-corrado.net/showthread.php?75415-Breaking-Classic-Green-VR6

Think its next to your bonnet hinge on the passenger side. Black strap will be obvious if you have it. It will be screwed on at either end.

bare in mind that the 1 series are on run flat tyres and they are quite expensive especially on the M sport tyre sizes. If going for 1 series diesel go for engine size 12Od or higher with M kit styling anything lower engine will be lacking in performance. On the very early 1 series diesel it does not come with diesel particular filter as standard. it was an additional cost option. later ones came as standard. Use to have one without the diesel particular filter and when you gave it some juice it would pump out plumes of black smoke. I hated that :) I am on the current F20 120D M sport and its a great all rounder.

I just went to have a look at a second hand pair of vr6 spare hub I have in the garage the ridges look uniform all the way through for both of them. Cant the VW dealership order another one just to show you if its suppose to be like that so that you can see it with your own eyes or pop over to a TPS near you and ask for a second opinion. TPS may even have one in stock for you to compare ?
