  1. the throttle cable for the 94 is on a chassis break, the later ones are still available 95 corrados, i think these are the one yandards is on about, just checked with tps.
  2. you need to check what oil pressure you have at the minute, i would get it checked out at a garage, the kr engine has been known for bottom end shells being worn out at higher mileages and oil pumps, play it safe,
  3. sorry to hijack th thread, but i think im missing the right hand side one. nearest the drivers door, does anyone have one?
  4. i pretty sure them bolts are dealer specific, unlikely they would keep them in stock, ask them to vor them , and they will arrive next day, you may have to pay a premium though.
  5. sound like a crank sensor fault, check you have spark when it plays up
  6. that would just be the colant flange , mounted to the head, 10-15 quid dealership job, not worth putting a second hand one on there, as they are well known for cracking with age.
  7. unlikely vw will stock, be a couple of days before they can get them for you.
  8. clean battery terminals, and earth behind the battery 1st thouroughly , sound like either a complete loss of either live or earth from the battery, also check the connection into the back of the fuse box under the dash, big thick red live and a thick brown , these are the main feeds into the fuse box.
  9. which peice do you mean, the cable, handle or nipple ends/?
  10. i would check the earths under the dash on the drivers side lower panel, when you open the door wiggle the rubber boot where the loom runs, and try and start,as you open the door the loom could be moving around the fusebox.and some of the wires could be loose or damaged.
  11. cheers dude vr6 ,thanks for the swift payment :D
  12. IF I WAS YOU, ID INSPECT THE FRAME WHEN THE SCREEN IS OUT TO CHECK FOR CORROSION/RUST! MY WAS GETTING BAD
  13. i had this same fault replace the fuel pump relay and ecu power relay faulty, you can get them from the dealer about 8 quid each. as andy says check out the immobiliser unit beneath the instrument cluster. i have a brand new imobiliser unit if you need one, but you will need it coding to the car at a vw dealer.
  14. you should demand a genuine winsdscreen to be fitted!! this will fit perfect
  15. so does the horn sound with the steering wheel removed? you have replaced the horn relay? for a known good one, if so sound like you could have a wiring short, i would inspect the wiring harness all the way back from the horns bka s far as you can see to the bulk head for damaged wiring, twisting the harness over, as chaffs can be hidden.
  16. check the fuses , as when the fuse goes for either side it makes it look that way, one flahes ect, when main beaming, fuse box in behind the drivers side lower dash. speedo, not sure but later vehicles has a pickup in the gearbox, id try and replace this with a known good one and test it, idicators, does the car have remote central locking/alarm? if so id try aa chase the wiring bk for this as most of the time the indicators flash with alarm ect, so it maybe wired into this, and would prevent them from working.
  17. the small 5 amp fuse is for the auxillary water pump.my fuse popped put a new in now and its running when ignition is turned on. i wold try substiting the fan controller with a known good one, as you said you have replaced the temp sensors.
  18. take it bk, and show them your one, you snapping anything it could void your warranty! i didnt think, there would be 2 option for that switch, looks like a manufactre defect very odd.
  19. hi every one i recently seen some black seat covers which were very thick, and of good quality, the covers has tough covers written in the middle of the cover, and had velcro sides, if anyone out there knows where i can get them , b much appreciated, ive tryed google search, and cant find anything similar.
  20. update so far, ! well been super busy at work, and home doing building work, but managed to squeeze some storm work in. so far all three tank straps have been off, shot blasted, zinc coated and then powder coated, all new tank bolts. climatronic wiring-Golf from May 01.pdfCIMG0232.JPG[/attachment:3rrc80kq]2.8l 24v Climatronic system.pdfCIMG0294.JPG[/attachment:3rrc80kq]CIMG0295.JPG[/attachment:3rrc80kq] i have also replaced the roof ariel gasket as it was perished, been polishing the schrick up even more, but my patience is running out, so boring, just wanna fit it , but i know its worth the wait. fitted new headlamp switch. fitted new air mass meter. brand new drivers side headlamp also fitted new seat bolster to my 8v , needed doing for a long time. its the cost of new parts, and how it all adds up its staggering progress is slow but steady, will update again soon with more pics
  21. you can check the ressistance of the abs sensors, using a multimeter on ohms. or vagcom, sound to me like you got a s ensor down.
