leave the outside light on where your car is parked and using the mini camera that everyones on a bout get filming see if they come around! also have the .22 loaded on a bipod on the window sill, ready to take pot shots  -
i take it the joint has snapped/broken up, it is highly unlikely the the center part or the shaft itslef hass broken, sometimes when you strip the suspension steering down, especially when doing the bottom balljoint, is you have to be carefull in not pulling it out and dislodging the joint slightly, and when turning corners the joint popped completly out,im well aware the joint was held in byu a c clip, but this can happen.i would personally ring them up, and say trading standards are involved and that you will go to court over the matter if neccesary, perhaps then they may reconsider getting you a new drive shaft in a nd replacing it.
-
i tryed buying those black bolts/screw for the slamp panel and i got the wing style ones, i think they have superseded top the wing type :( if anyone knows the r :( igh p/n le me know!!
-
no they are a solid complete cap, part number off etka, p/n 867601173 saying 16 in total , there is another type that fits over genuine locking wheel nuts as well -p/n 535601173b, saying 4 in total
-
yes wheel cover caps came fitted as standard, but many prob got slung away, the callipers brand new come in a goldy/silvery colour, when i bough a rear calliper last, silver would look oem though. not anal question if anything i prob more fussy than you about niggles like that!! :D
-
ha its like your stocking all the parts up before theyre all gone forever!! good plan, thing is to buy/ keep and store and sell for a premium when its obsolete. sad thought all the parts being dropped day by day :(
-
there is a sticker in your boot and owners manual with the paint code on it, failing that ring vw with your reg or chassis they will tell you,
-
thats correct usually when the end number changes it usually get modifed slightly or something but it usually superseeds through the alphabet a,b,c, ect
-
the latter is just superseeded, so both parts willl be fine!
-
nice one,like the design too!!

Steering seem to be very heavy - any idea what might cause
volksworld13 replied to Mawrick's topic in Drivetrain
if the steering is heavy and lightens up alot than it is reved ,it will more likely the pump is worn and not pumping as well, assistance should be the same idle and reved, tryed a known good one , and update the thread. -

check oil level and condition, for any metal swarf ect, i think their is a gauze in the reservoir.do you have any noises from the pump? it sound like the pump isnt pumping anymore, try steering left to right stationary and rev the engine does the steering feel lighter when reved? -
also you dint mention earthing yourself to the body,to prevent a static charge which could deploy the air bag.
