  1. Hi Sean , ignition wise ive changed the switch, new leads, spark plugs , dizzy cap ,tested the coil, cleaned all the plugs inc ecu and multiplug .The one thing ive got,. but have not changed yet is the dizzy itself . I could be wrong but it just does not sound like an electrical problem .Its struggling to keep up the revs as if theres only a trickle of fuel . Then on the second start ,the pump has pushed enough through for it to fire as normal .
  2. Mate i would love to buy this from you as it would really make a difference with the pack 'a' head i have .Funds just will not stretch that far atm. £800 ,it must go at that price !.
  3. Ive made a vid of this problem now .This sounds to me like fuel starvation when the car is first started. As you can see and hear when the car is cranked the second time it fires no problem . I still think this is fuel , im going to investigate the return valve again .After changing some parts this seemed to go away but is now coming back .When i had the problem 8 months or so ago it would splutter on start and eventually fire up , if i drove for a few miles or so and left it , the longer you left it the harder it was to start, for example if i stopped at a shop then got back in the car there was no problem .20 minutes or so after being left it would be more difficult to start .I dont have this problem anymore its just that first crank .fuel parts and checks wise inc ,new fuel pressure regulator, new fuel filter and i changed the pump. The blue temp sender is also new. My usual friendly machanic was too busy at the time so i used another garage, i gave them the manual and they said they checked the fuel pressure and it was fine . I only took it somewhere to be looked at as i dont have a pressure tester otherwise i would have done it myself. Please have a listen to the vid , Any info or ideas will be much appreciated Regards Rob
  4. Thanks Sean , I will send them a head rest too then , to make sure the colour is matched . Rob
  5. Ok Sean , thanks . I only had a small compressor last time , with the small bowl . Going from grey to black took a long time , I sponged the first two coats on . Did furniture clinic match the colour or is it a standard colour ?. I need black as well as my steering wheel is disgusting . Rog , thanks bud , it's about time I made the trip to yours though . Iirc I need to get a gun to go with your compressor don't i ? . Not sure how much they are . King regards Rob
  6. How's the car coming along Sean ? Hope all is well with it . Something I forgot to ask you . When you painted the interior did you use the rattle cans or a compressor ? I've done this job before , from grey to black using a compressor . I'm going to repaint the front seats and door cards on my cream leather soon , but I don't have access to a gun now and not to keen on using a can . I was wondering if you used a can ? If so was it easy to do ? Thanks mate Rob
  7. Welcome along . Good luck with whatever you buy . Always plenty of help and info on here when you need it . There are quite a few modified car insurers , forget the every day ones unless you are of a certain age !
  8. Fair play to you Hasan for taking this on , that wiring makes my head spin , just looking at it !
  9. I would be interested in the door cards if they are really good condition Rob

  11. Many thanks to DudeVR6 [Miles] , for the sunroof motor . Well packaged and arrived in great time . Rob
  12. This does happen Graham . Water runs off the wings and down onto the battery tray and other areas . There's nothing you can do really , just mop it up after your done .its all down to rubbish design and bad water deflection .
  13. This is bugging me as much as it is you now !
  14. Looking very nice , I can't believe someone threw out the seals !!
  15. I could be wrong but early leads are no more . Could try ringing Heritage ?
  16. I think the leads are obsolete now. Just been out to my parts shed and cleaned the oil off a dizzy Part no for the dizzy is 123050024b Rob
  17. Lovely , can't beat a fresh and very clean lump .
  18. Pita for you mate , hope you get this sorted soon
  19. These always look lovely on a Corrado . Very nice James .
  20. I looked at changing mine , I bought one , jacked the car up and yep , difficult to get to . A neighbour works for kwik fit and he said they have a removal tool for these . Not much help Hasan , but Mabey you could inquire at your local exhaust centre ? Rob
  21. No need to remove anything , apart from the plastic housing that covers the sensors and that just slides off . Blue temp sender sends the signal to the ecu . Simply remove the plastic circlip and the plug on the sensor and it will come out . You will loose coolant at this point so have the new one ready to pop in . Take care to make sure the o ring comes out with it , these are provided with the new sensor . Snap down the circlip and replace the plug . Rob Edit , good idea to do all three while your at it .
