Thanks chaps . In the end I went for rain sport 3s . I have budget tyres on ATM and apart from the road noise they were OK for the sort of driving and mileage I cover. But I have a bit more money this time round so the uniroyals will be fine .

I need four tyres for my mot .I had a quick look at the tyre thread but there are so many pages . This is me . I dont rag my car round corners , i dont drift , i dont drive in the rain unless i get caught in it . I do give it the beans on the straight every now and again . I average around 1k miles a year if that . What would you buy , Falkens , Toyo, Pirelli ?.

Brilliant news .
-
Glad you sorted it .

Fingers crossed for a quick fix Sean .

Strange , when you said if you wiggle the key and it starts that's always points to ignition switch mate .

I have to admit , they are a bit on the rough side . -
Definitely sounds like the switch Sean . New manifold ooooh very nice .
-
Nice one , I should have said the next thing to look at was the electrical side .
-
Most of us would say in this situation, to check all the vacuum hoses . Rather than inspect them on the car , i would remove them to have a proper look . Check for splits / holes . Also while all the pipes are off give the ISV a good clean .
-
I wouldn't have thought so no Westy. Just check all the vacuum hoses around it to make sure they are tight and no holes or splits .

Still got mine Rog ? -
It controls the air and fuel between throttle and idle I think ? The gases can sometimes build up to such a rate it explodes and when it does its loud !

Aaron's VR6 - is now R32'd - that sweet, sweet noise! (Page 20)

It's getting there . -
I think that we have to expect them not to be perfect. We all know it's not the best or strongest design in the world .

I fitted a different motor to mine a while back , I still pull a stupid face when it opens , that screwed up face , while thinking cmon don't stop working on me . I know what your saying Chuggs . If it works manually, it has to be electrical, crap in the runners or something that is making the motor struggle .

Looking lovely Darren .

Loads of info in the search about resetting the sunroof with the motor ,Gold , it's really easy.

I'm the same when it comes to muscle cars . You can't beat the sound of Hemi in in a Charger . A while back I was filling up with fuel and a bloke was sat in the forecourt of the garage in a mustang , I had to go over and have a chat . He told me he paid 14k inc import duty for it ! , ok so it was only a small block and the chrome was a bit sketchy, but the paint was pretty good for original.

Welcome along . Going on what Jim said about your username, did you choose it after the car or the fish ? lol .

Nice work on the parcel shelf Sean and good to see you got to the bottom of the coolant light troubles . I think I have failed on my underside refurb , I didn't buy that Spring , bum , that's the one part I didn't buy .

My scrapers are brand new .

Me too , at least two months of heavy rain , four washes using a jet wash and it's as dry as a bone . Came home from work on Monday and I had bird crap on the window and down the door . I washed it with a hose and in it came !!. These membranes are begining to get on my nerves .
-
I would have a set of these Dave .

Looking very nice .
