happy days :D in preperation for the mot and as winter on it's way decided that 4 new tyres would be good, i've had toyos before and have always been happy with them so went to Micheldever just off the A303 . 4 toyos fitted for £160 incl vat, really took care fitting and balancing them great stuff wish everything was as reasonable....

this is gonna be job to be done as a matter of course soon, and after a quick look there really is'nt a lot of room, especially with the mocal sat right next to it, so i was wondering if anyone could give me some tips on doing this the easiest way, gonna replace the fan too.... also can anyone confirm that this is the correct part no 93478 for the lower temp thermo switch from gsf, i also had a problem when on the phone too gsf (got a new kiddy i think) about the correct radiator part no. so if anyone could help me out with that i'ed be well chuffed, cheers

-
janspeed do know exhausts it's just a shame that the only one they do for the c is a scorpian style one, glad you got it sorted buddy.....
-
well tried it in reverse buddy and no noise there... so not the gearbox.... racks mount it could be then.... will have to get some to check it out will keep ya posted..... has anyone out there done this job :?:
-
rack mounts!!!! are they reasonably simple/cheap or painfull and expensive :?: i take it they are right at the end of rack...
-
basically it's when i hit a rough bit of ground with both front wheels theres a deffinate bit of movement more noise than actuall feel through the wheel, i'm not ruling out the rack, if it was how and where should i look... checked the mount by putting it in first, handbrake on lift clutch slowly etc, and it can't be the mount as there was no movement at alll as i say none of these (wishbones, arb, tie rods, ball joints) seem the be the reason, going to get the top mounts done in the next couple of weeks, but there not exactly bad, then it's in for the chip and pulley, so i would like to get it sorted before then.....
-
nice one henny... well i have just got off the phone to g-werks :) and its soon to be going in for the chip and pulley and probably a new rad as it's still the original one, best thing i can do is have another good look and if i can't see anything darren said he would give the car a good look over anyway and maybe that will turn up what it is, like i say it's not excessive just there now and again so who knows..... :D

well they only charge 25 quid to do the camber, one thing tho gonna need 4 new tyres for the mot in november is it worth me waiting and having the camber done with new tyres on does it not make that much difference...
-
that thought has crossed my mind but i need to the car back on the road asap and i'm going to a festival this weekend so not sure how good i'm gonna be on monday, but i do hate paying for simple jobs...
-
just been on the phone to ATS and the bloke has just quoted me 40 quid to change both front top mounts, my question is he is saying that the cmaber wont need checking is this right i take they just drop the whole strut out replace mount put strut back in :?:

been reading this thread over the last couple of days, feel for ya buddy, good luck with gettin the c sorted, i'm willing to bet that once she is running right you wont sell it, take it from some one who has sold and gone to another then another and now back to another c and it's my 5th one and it's my first g60 and i love it, even more so than my vr which i thought was'nt possible ..... anyway good luck...

since a couple of days ago i have some movement somewhere :!: i have checked the usual: ball joints, top mounts (slight movement but nothing excessive) tie rods, wishbones (there new) arb, and drop links all seem to be ok, i spoke to the previous owner and he mentioned the the bolt through the solid front mount (JMR) dropped it's nut so had it replaced and put some bolt lock on it to stop it from happening again, is this common, do they occasionally snap, has anyone else had any problems with there mounts :?:

on my vr i had a set of momo quasar 2's in 17" i don't know what off set they were but they were fitted with 215/40 on a 40mm drop there was no rubbing and looked lovely........ pics are here... http://the-corrado.net/.archive/forum/viewtopic. ... hlight=vr6

i have one ordered and fitted by jmr but it was all done by the previous owner, i had a good look at it, just out of interest really, and i have no issues with it at all, it also has the de-cat pipe, when i have a chance i'll have a look at the lamba and let ya know, otherwise nice sound..... and good fit for me.....

i'm sorry but what is this guys problem, i know it's not very pc but i would have to give this guy a f****** good hideing what kind of moron thinks that this is justified, people like this are why i keep a baseball bat in the boot of my car, i feel for ya buddy and my advice should'nt really be cosidered but hay what a imature, spineless, geeky little p****

i have a Alpine CDA-983OR and i am looking at getting an i-pod lead that runs of what looks like either the aux outputs or a proper ouput plug for the lead, much like a cd changer connection, what i would like to know is can i just plug this in the back of my headunit and into the hones plug and listen away or do i need more than this.... sorry for not being to clever on this .... cheers josh
-
cheers buddy, it does look good all polished up, thinking about removing the side strips but i'm just not sure yet.....
-
i would never have done that when i was 15 what is wrong with people, thing is they think that is ok but what piss's me off even more, is they consider themselves man enough to do that but give em a good beating (which is perfectly justified) and they wouldd cry little girls and it would be considered out of order little pr**ks, feel for ya mate.
-
mate i really feel for ya, i had a 72 beach buggy a couple of years ago and i went out in the morning to find that the roof had been slashed and the interior totally recked, but that is just plain idiotic, seriously don't let them get away with that you would be supprised how much the plod can turn a blind eye if you deffinately know it was them.....

on my mk3 vr it had 35mm h&r's with standard shocks and it looked subtle but it handled reasonably well, i can't compare it to oe set-up as it was already on there when i bought it, but it looked better than the oe ride height thats for sure.
