yeah i usually find going into 2nd helps....but it still does it sometimes, makes you look like a mupet if your shunting into a space and it keeps grinding
-
my g60 has always seemed to grind into reverse, i make sure the clutch is right on the floor and the car has stoped any ideas
-

-
there is a c clip....what ive always done is just give the cv a good whack while holding it, it should pop over the clip in 1 o2 2 goes you can hit it fairly hard, but shouldnt need to
-
the halfords ones dont have a lining....fits s well it doesnt move even in high wind, mine didnt budge in a god storm wothout straps its doesnt look like its that great....but it does its job very well beacuse its not much thicker than paper you can give it a good shake and its nearly dry.
-
i had a mytsterious noise on mine....after alot of messing around it was the cam belt tesioner maybe run the car with no belt cover...wait till its whining and spray a little wd40 on the tensioner....it will shut up for a short while till it dries out
-
i think its to let water out if your engine gets wet....otherwise it would all fall in when you go to top up
-
be carefull of mice/rats etc if you leave the window open a bit id just go for clean ,dry and jacked up with the brake off....trickle charger if possible
-
preety straight forward to use.....i always use the furthest from the master cly first method working to the nearest last i also go slightly over on the tyre pressure ....its up to you on that one, oh and test for leaks before you try it with brake fluid
-
i did mine....took it out to the max with a dremel and belt sander didnt really make a big diff....spose it rips through the revs harder around 4500-5500
-
what so they just stuff the screw in sensor up the tailpipe??? works the same??
-
what sort of price do budget widebands start at? any ebay bargains? and how would a garage test a car??? surley they dont weld nut into everyones downpipel
-
i tried a cover systems one and sent it back.....theyre designed to let water in :( which seems pretty usless for a car cover!! i now use a meduim size tyvek from ha;fords of all places.....almost a perfect fit and it doesnt let water in and still breathes..£65 at halfords, be aware any cover is only suitable for use on a clean car,any dirt may scratch it
-
stevemac.....what did you find differant??? just intrested
