  1. Just leave it Kev, he's too tight to buy the uprated one.
  2. And it just so happens my shafts are almsot equal length anyway due to the sycnro transfer box :D oh, and I have a Torque biasing diff.....and 4wd to come!! oh joy
  3. Mine kicks the ar5e end out on wet roundabouts to, but only if I lift off the gas. I put it down to a cheap tyre on the rear N/S corner. I'll see how it is with my Michelin's.
  4. Ridgeway Racing 9lb (4.5KG)flywheel, £300 Fidanza 6lb one £375, from Helix Autosport/Stealth or $305 if you can get it from the US.
  5. oh yes... tight.... so your'e talking £90 difference between a factory mount and a Vibra one......can you get a VR6 boonet and hae it painted for £90???? didn't think so....
  6. Free, it's no use to me. just pay the postage. I can deliver it direct to the machine shop if you like? it should weigh around 18lbs, (9Kg)give or take the lack of ring gear, and the added packaging.
  7. Maybe, I just have a habit of always replacing worn out items with something uprated..... I only settle for stock if I can't buy anything else better.
  8. It's not the torque that's the issue. It's just likely that your original mount will be worn out, and the VGI sits closer to the bonnet than the stock one does.
  9. You can have my old flywheel if you want to get it done befor eyou take the car off the road? it's abit pitted though, could do with a skim, but that could be done when it's getting lightened.
  10. Get the vibra mount. See my "wahoo! VR6 is in!!!" thread to see just how close the VGI is to the bonnet. it's about 8mm off.....
  11. mint. The guy didn't have any of those wheels left, and new ones were a fortune..
  12. Revs like a sports bike in other words. On the road, it makes the car feel lighter, as the engine picks up quicker. well, mine did when I fitted the Turn2USA alloy crank pulley, which is a lot cheaper and easier to install than a flywheel.
  13. more pics Can a mod move this to the members gallery please?
  14. VR6 FW is 18lbs, Ridgewya do a 9lb and a 6lb one. Mine a Fidanza one, that's 6lb. it cost me as taggering £375........only $305 in the US, but I couldn't get one in time.
  15. Driveshafts have been fully refurbished and rebuilt now and are in. wishbones all painted up and poly bushes too. They'll be going in tonigt witht he 288brakes and H&R suspension and TAS top mounts. I may even drop it back on it's wheel if I get time! Some better pics coming too, now I've worked out how to use my camera.
  16. sorry, "sikaflex" 221, liquid polyurethane. mongy fingers...
  17. Ho ho! if you do buy a ridgeway one, ask him if he's corrected his CNC program first.......
  18. awesome car. just keep looking at it, see how many details you can spot. every time you look you notice something else.
  19. Wide, dished rims absolutely rock, but only if they fit in the arches and the tyres aren't TOO stretched. That's how mines going. The arches will be rolled out shortly. It doesn't look right with stock shaped arches and dished rims.
  20. What a waste of money! why didn't you just buy a manual box for £200?
  21. Buy? you don't need to buy anything, except a hacksaw to cut the mount down and a tube of sikfelx to fill in all the holes to stiffen it up.
  22. Why, they'd be RHD? no use in the US.
  23. What, Rallye lights? or xenons?
