LMAO!!!! that wants crushing..... I f*cking HATE muppet cars like that, I really do, they look utter f*kcing W4NK!!! 'why' do they do it? why...... -
They never feel quick when you first drive them, the gearning os too long, and the engine sounds so mad you never tend to rev it enough on a first go. have another goa d just ring it's neck, then you''ll see how quick it can be.

well, problem solved.....it's not a VR6 ecu!!! it's off a f*cking ABF..... Mark, if you're out there, you sold me a duff ECU......
-
you can't test it like that. well, not unless you have an oscilloscope
-
it's the same engine that was in my orange golf, but the wring and ecu off that was sold in my black mk2. I've never used this loom or ECU before. cheers of the pic, I'll go check now.
-
hmmm, only 10.9v at the crank sensor, could this be the problem?
-
gouy on vortex reckons I have the wrong ecu realy can a vr6 owner please take a pic of his fuseboard for me please!
-
ECU has power. tried another crank sensor, this one reads 540, within range. but it still won't fire up no spark, no injectors. I have power at the injectors, but the ECU isn't opening them.
-
double and treable checked the wiring ECU is on as I have power at the MAF. engine won't even try to catch. check the plugs and they are bone dry, no fuel, yet I have fuel at the rail. no spark either. Will try the new sensor in the morning, if it won't work I'll go borrow my mates VAG-COM and see what that tells me. Still, at least I had time to clean the inner arches, they are now cleaner than the bodywork!
-
maybe, but at 840 it's out of range. would the stainless steel bolt I've used affect it?
-
mates bring anpother sensor down, I'l mesuree that and see if it's any different, and give it a go in the engfine. I sense another £140 coming up......bastard
-
it measuers 840-900
-
tried that, can't turn the engine smooth enough to get a signal
-
pump runs fine, fuel in rail, no imobiliiser on it.

1994 OB1 VR6 lump into 1994 corrado 2.0 8v. Got fuel at the rail, but nothing through the injectors, got no spark. engine will turn over but of course won't fire. Sounds like typical crank sensor (engine speed sensor) but I don't know how to test it? can't buy a new one for the sake of it, they're £140..... Checked all the wiring time and time again, everything is plugged in right. Weird thing thats doing my head in is, when I have my multimeter set to continuity, it beeps when I go between the battery terminals??? this can't be right can it? do I have short somehwere? if so, then why are my electrics working?? any help greatly appreciated, I'm totally stuck and don't know what to check or what to do, I've just given up and come inside as I'm sick as f*ck

yes, it'll do the same job, it's just an adjustable fuel pressure regulator, the "power boost valve" is just marketing waffe. but you'll need a pressure gauge to to check what you've set it at.

Peloquins are only $750 delivered from http://www.thescirocco.com quite a favourable price considering the strength of the pound
-
grant is in bristol/bath.... He'll do you a head and charge yo a surcharge until you send him your old one back.
-
damn right it is. brand new it's only about £200, but add onto that the price for a full rebuild, and you'll want a proper diff whislt you're in there, so you'll be looking at a grand to sort the box. worht it though, much better than anything you could buy for the engine for the same money (except maybe a full on direct port nitrous kit.)
-
you fool! it's only £40, get some befor eyou have to. I once paid £300 to have my golf towed home after it'd broke down.....I learned the hard way.

3.94 final drive.....feels like another 50BHP, the insurance will never know (and it wouldn't put up your premium if they did).
