My mate bought a set from utterly veedubberly for £650.

Mine used to do that. it'd cut out at a junction, then when I'd restart it, it'd rev up and down on it's own then cut out if I touched the throttle. If the crank sensor is faulty the car won't run at all. mine evetually went like this. I just took it out and cleanded up the surface of the block where it mounts (it earths through it's body voa the block) and it was fine after that. I can also be called and engine position (or speed) sensor.

fit a smaller bore exhaust pipe.

Hmm, you polsihed the zinc plating off the door lock mechanisms. they'll rust now.
-
it does, it's a cartridge or element type filter.
-
it does in deed sit in the big housing on the front of the engine. have fun trying to remove the cap on the bottom to get it out....
-
saying that, I'm pretty proud of this pic.

And I'll have to do without my Schrick for a while....I'm still polishing it.
-
Will do, I'll take loads of pics, I always do. Hopefully I'll get it all done in the 4 day weekend that is Easter. I just know I'm going to be majorly let down with at least one parts delivery.......and it's bound to be something REALLY important, like the flywheel..... Time to update the sig.
-
Flywheel should be coming soon, I hope the samco's turn up next week.....engine mounts and bushes 'should' be coming next week too. Engine fully cleaned out, painted up and new seals and bolts, water pump, chains. all alloy bits polished (even the engine end covers!), head flowed, fancy exhaust valves coming next week. subframe all built up and super clean, brakes ready, rear beam all painted up with new pipes. mk2 is back on it's wheels and ready to be rolled out of the garage so I can get the corrado in at last. Let the transformantion commence on 8th April......the coutdown starts now. (not fitting the nitrous or the 4WD just yet)

like mine 8) not on mine, it's an aftermarket sunroof

follow the blue wire back into the fuseboard and check every connection. I've seen them get chewed up by the fan for now, just connect it directly to the battery and it'll work.
-
have you got a 12v supply on the blue wire? it won't do jack without that. you may need a new voltage regulator for hte aternator. take it off and get it to your nearest bosch dealers, they'll test it.

Looks like that nissan primera colour.

Supposedly for extra power handling. Then again, cosworths are 4 stud......

More like £90! I'll let you know, I'm about to order a rear one in a minute!
