Syncro rear axle......more camber the lower you go
-
I'd guess they just poured 5 litres in, which isn't enough, it needs 5.5-5.7.
-
did you check it after it'd been serviced? they might not have put enough in......
-
nah, you don't wanna do that, they'll be far too big.

Update. My account has now been debited £195.21 So that's £225.98 + VAT = £265.53 - 30% discount = £185.87 plus the tenner postage (roughly). Total saving of £79.66 (excluding the postage fee of course, which I'd have had to pay anyway). Well worth it! Next time you're thinking about buying anything, ask if there's a discount for a group buy, and see if us lot would be intersted. It didn't take me long to set this one up at all, alomst £80 is a damn good saving, I'm well happy with it, but even happier to know that so many other people were entitled to it too for such a little effort on my behalf. Cheers for you involvement and support, enjoy your hoses.

yOU SHOLD BE ABLE TO SQUEEZE THOSE ON WITH 215/40'S OR 205/40'S I hope so, I'm fitting 9x17's on the back of mine!
-
git.... It will be next month though :D
-
might be the bearing in the serpentine belt tensioner. stick a screwdriver on the bolt in the midle of the pulley and put your ear on the other end of it and see if you can hear or feel the bearing rumbling. see my thread on replacing it. should be easy to find with the search

I love hate, keep it coming
-
Hahaha, Can I just point out that mine was only £430!!    oh, and it's polished now too :D :D

I couldn't care less whether the CTR is quicker or not, they are one the the most pig ugly cars on the road today.
-
Time the crank up using the clutch/flywheel marks and the pointer on the gearbox, the pulley isn't accurate enough.
-
if you'r going to go for an over bore, go for a full on high compression 3.1 with 276 cams, it'll be a beast.
-
I've got lots of close gears AND the power and torque too! instant power at anything up to 120mph,(which is more than enough speed for anyone) can't wait to get it all fitted in the Corrado.
-
aye, planning one shortly actually!
-
he must have had a lead foot then? he said it was impossible to drive at part throttle too, it just kept boosting up and surging all the time. he hated it so much he sold the car and bought a vr6!
-
The German one with the GT3 seats, no carpets, and the polished 17" Porsche cup rims and full roll cage. I need more pics of this car!! it's THE best corrado in the world ever, and it's what finally made me buy one. I can't rememebr which issue it was in either, can anyone tell me what was on the cover? post more pics if you have them.
-
I thought you were going to talk about a VR6 syncro corrado for a moment there.... :D
-
Everyone I've spoken to who've had standalone management on their cars says it's a pig to live with for a daily driver. good for power, but not for smooth driving and good mpg.
-
Well, you should have set the head timgin up roughly, and the block should have been timed up at TDC on #1 BEFORE you fitted the head.... Remove all the cam bearing caps in the correct order, remove both cams, time up the crank and turn the cams to the correct position then refit them in the head with the caps. note the tightening sequence and torque.

at last! someone who agrees with me. 0-60 means jack sh1t, but manufacturers deliberately aim for a good 0-60 figure and ruins t he gears too because it looks good on paper and sells cars. it's about time they starting listing 1/4 mile times instead..... I've proved how effective my close ratio 6 speed is. with only 207BHP and minimal engine mods it was keeping up with cars pushing out over 300BHP.
-
Spend the money on the Corrado! :-P
-
Mine only does 115mph on the rev limter in 5th.... I can top out 4th gear on the drag strip. Yes, it's fun to drive!
-
depends which zymol you buy. I've got the Carbon one, it says in the manual tha the Creame one is better for lighter cars, but any of the higher ranged ones will do either.
