the cannister if full of little grains of carbon.
  2. moaunts are coming via stealth. a mate of mine is shipping over the flywheel from the US.
  3. I can get good deals on Turn2 stuff, mail me if you want anything. I will also have a full set of factory mounts for sale shortly due to upgrade to vibra-technics units.
  4. yeah, got a seat toledo x memeber dunno what's up with my email, it's been very quiet try it with .com and .co.uk and see which one works. oh, and my orange mk2 is now back on it's wheels too, ready to roll......roll out of the garage so I can get my corrado in that is!
  5. you can't adjust caster. not unless you run eccentric top mounts. You could have a bent wishbone you know, check it out. edit: Caster, not camber, sorry.
  6. No, he's busy until easter. I'm sending him the bumper and wings whislt I'm doing the engine so he can do those, then when the engine is done it can go in for the dent repair and rear arches. Whilst it's in I'll sort out my wheels and hopefully get them on in time for GTI International.
  7. Vibra-technics all round, race spec for the front (I do a lot of drag racing). and a full compliment of Powerflex Poly Bushes for the wixhbones and front cross member too. Fidanza alloy flywheel on it's way from the US too, should go nicely with the Helix clutch. :D Headis gasflowed to roughing stage too. just need to smooth it all out now. I've got half a jam jar of alloy filings! VR conversion commencing on the 8th  :D :-P
  8. It's also really easy to clean too. just a quick wash and rinse, no need to polish it again.
  9. We'll have it sorted, don't panic.
  10. You'll have a job, it doesn't belong to dubsprt any more.
  11. 2.8 and 2.9 cams have different part numbers, but they have the same lift, don't know what the duration is though. I had 268 cams in mine. well, I was told they were 268's, they are reground from factory cams. didn't affect idle or bottom end at all, but gave a notice able kick at 4000rpm when the manifold opens up to let them breathe. you need falt section valve springs for 276's. I was going to go for these, but decided against it as according to vortex the fastes vr6's all run 268's and the 276's just push the power band slighty high up the rev range, which isn't what I want, you may consider 256's or the 260/264 ones which are meant to be mint.
  12. big ron (green mk2 vr6) is putting an R32 lump and DSG gearbox in his car.

    4WD G60 Corrado

Yes you can. Check out http://www.dutchdub.com and also pics in my account http://www.picturetrail.com/phatvr6 the added bonus being that you don't need to do the tunnel on a corrado, as it's already there. it isn't a big job. I have a spare syncro boot floor panel, and I can fit it too if you're not feeling up to it.
  14. sounds to me like the #1 speed on your fan motor has gone...like they always do.
  15. isn't it 07000 DENTS or something daft like that?

    Blue Smoke

how much!! I'd do it for half that if I had the time!!
  17. not if the compression was 13:1 and it was runing on 110 octane fuel with a solid lifter head! hardly a daily driver......
  18. you will like the 268 cams. get it chipped to. my old one revved to 7200rpm......nice.
  19. I was going to say something along those lines! birmingham.... up north....lol!
  20. the 2.9 throttle body is already big enough. it's the head that needs the work, not the TB. 2.9 TB works well on a 2.8 VR6 though, especially with the 2.9 manifold too.

seals are £2.84 each. but seeing as you'll have to take the head off, add onto that a full head gasket job. if you want to know ho much star will charge the try ringing them up and asking them. get a peter russek vr6 engine manual and do it yourself, not a big job.
