Hmm I have in my garage 2x of these alloys which I am unsure what to do with them. They defo need a refurb + one got a chunk of rim missing. I am unsure if these can be fixed. But I have no real use for them... Can send you pics if you are interested (and most likely can give away them for free).. who knows maybe you could make a "good" set out of them. Let me know if you are interested.

With the connector, I'm sure there will be an adapter that will convert it for you - but I agree, that is a really epic fail - to change it in first place. My GF have iPhone 3GS and the difference between 3GS and my iPhone 4 is massive. I seriously mean it. Screen brightness, responsiveness, etc... it's just a completely different league. Now, leaving all haters and fanboys aside. There is nothing wrong with iPhone whatsoever! It's just a well designed phone that does what you need it to do. It's also extremely well build! It does not however come with the "top of the range" hardware. It does not have a memory slot aka SD and it also is quite locked down. I think for less techy people iPhone is a godsend... basically works out of the box, and is very easy to use. Switching to Android is not complicated but it require a little bit of commitment and research, as not everything will be "obvious". Android phones for a change are offering a lot of "geeky" stuff. SD cards compatibility, replaceable batteries, better hardware and generally offer more flexibility. Reason I've gone for iPhone 4 cause it was the best deal at the time. But what is really annoying me is that if I go to a friend and he has this great tune... I cannot just copy it onto my iPhone as it requires iTunes.... and not just any iTunes, it has to be the one on my main PC. It's really annoying and this is the only reason I will be choosing Android based phone next time (ideally with physical qwerty keyboard built in). For all the people making choices. I will say that again... it make no difference what phone you will choose now. In 12 months it will be already out of date! Just go to the shop, find best deal on minutes, texts and Internet. Then play with all the phones and select best one you like. There are no bad choices nowadays each phone will do the same job really!

I have iPhone 4 (my own) and Samsung Galaxy S2 (work)... and tbh they are all the same. Don't really have any problems with any of them. Regardless screen size and hardware used... they just do what I need them to do, phone calls, texts, emails, occasional Google Maps, Sat Nav functionality or Angry Birds session. If you use iTunes to manage your music (and you have extensive music library) go with iPhone if you want more flexibility go with Samsung. Do remember, you are getting new phone only temporarily. After a year or two, you gonna get a new one anyway. Be it iPhone7 or Samsung Galaxy S7... no difference. One thing I've noticed is that Samsung Galaxy S3 (tested in shop) have amazing onscreen keyboard... which is two times better than my old iPhone4 (maybe iPhone 4S have it improved - i don't know). To sum up I like my iPhone a lot, thought my next phone will most likely be Android based rather than Apple.

Yes, it's a shame to admit but yes. I'm a computer geek you see. I can fix servers, build websites, damn I can recompile linux kernels without a problem. However, mechanically I am total newb, lack of skills, knowledge and tools. Everyone did tell me going Corrado is a bad idea... but hey, ho I thought, why not! Now, however I'm having some second thoughts to be honest...

New CV boot, one seized bolt and £90 less in the pocket and it's fixed now :) Thanks for advice people.

I see, thanks guys. This will have to wait till Monday... will not drive meanwhile then!

Saw this few minutes ago, it's a front passenger side... Can't take a wheel off and check properly as I need drive soon. Is it safe to drive? I recently fitted new tyres + tracking done, could swear it wasn't like that before. Car seems to drive fine. Bit puzzled... so far a bad month for my car.
-
Big thanks to g60knight for sorting me out with ISV ;)

Just been told by a colleague that my car got quite a visible scratch on the arch! Thought it's a joke! Went out to check it and yes... Some fak** assho**** done my car! On a freaking work parking! Im a bit speachless at the minute and trying to find out as much as poss. But i can smell it from a mile it is going to be costly!

Wonder if it's suitable also for 16v ? :bonk:

Ebay coilovers are well ebay coilovers! A lot of bad comments over here about them... try to use search and there is extensive thread about suspension which may help a great deal. As a quick advice, get a car... drive it for some time.. find out what needs fixing as priority. Then look around for some coilovers for your car... This way you will appreciate the car so much more. Cheap coilovers on a Corrado (as on any other car) is just back breakers and definitely not something anyone would recommend.

edit: No Longer required! Mods please delete it, thanks. (couldn't figure out how to delete my own thread). ---------------------- Hi guys, I'm in need for a good working order ISV for my 1995 Corrado 16v 2.0L (9a). I've checked part number on mine and it says: 048 133 455. Anyone can help?

Hi Jim, Yes it did accelerate fine, no flat spots, basically all was 100% fine. RPM needle also behaved normal, no jumps or erratic behaviour. This morning car started fine and got to work without any problems. Im worryin tho if it happened twice it will happen again! So i am on a lookout for ISV now...
-
Hmm I paid £37 for tyre alone but then plus fitting, new valve, balancing itp... it was £60 per wheel :(
-
Hmm is this a Corrado curse or if it ain't broke don't fix it thing? After work been to a place to fit new tyres (Uniroyals RainSport 2) and also did the tracking adjustment as it was needed. Drove off, maybe a mile or so... and this happened: Simply saying engine just died, started again and it would not idle at all! The moment I removed my foot from acceleration pedal, it just kept dying. Checked engine bay, was maniacally tapping on the ISV. Disconnected most of the plugs, put them back. Checked for damaged hoses... but nothing seemed out of the picture. Started again... but would not idle, just kept dying the moment I removed foot from acc pedal. Waited until engine cool down -> started again and TA-DA idling was fixed. Get back home fine no problems. At home checked temps (it was bang on 90C) and car was idling perfectly. Switched off engine, waited 20 mins (so engine was warm but not cold, or hot) -> started first time no problem and again idle was fine. Switched off, waited +90mins (engine was cold by now) -> started first time and no problems with idle. This is the second time it happened to me... could that be the ISV on it's way? Or something else? I am happy with cleaning ISV, but then when it works it's fine I have no problems with idle (or I think I don't have), so what else it can be? Or should I just source new ISV (any idea what is the cost of such thing)?

So after a bit of research and a lot of feedback from you guys decided to go with Uniroyals RainSport 2. Toyos, seemed very good on price, but rang two different tyre places and both said they are bad when it's wet! Which is strange as advert for them describe them as very good when wet... anyhow I've gone for Uniroyals and the time will tell. thanks for help.

Hmm, I need to get two front tyres as it was outlined on my MOT yesterday. Wanted to buy 2x Continental Premium 2's for around £135 (fitted) but if I can get for the same price all 4 tyres (Toyo's), would that not be a better way of tackling my wheels? If so I will be ordering them later on today propably... just can't get my head round tyres to be honest. I use my Corrado as a full daily driver.. commute to work, and also work related... so I do drive quite a lot.
-
Judgement day of 2012 arrived and... my little car passed it's MOT  I was worrying sick, due to fact it was first MOT while I am the owner + intermittent ABS light coming up some days. Gods must have smiled at me. It's a PASS. Thought two advisories: front left and right tyre near legal limit... easy to fix.

Was on a trip to Huddersfield this morning and saw a nice Corrado parked on the road. Decided to stop and poke around, in hope the owner may show up, but gave up after 10mins. Took few pictures, anyone here?

Tried to read the whole thing... still couldn't get my head round what you are saying... googled it and found this: http://www.fastfordmag.co.uk/files/2009/10/FAF273.brakes.pdf It maybe is non scientific, maybe bit too childish and maybe too-much-Ford-not-so-much-VW, but I read it and know a bit more about brakes. Don't flame me if it's off-topic and not related to you conversation, someone else may find it useful, I did ... well I know now what a brake torque is :)

Agreed. Three letters search would be ace due to many: 16v, abs, isv, vr6, g60, mk4 and others alike. But as i was told by someone before (im sorry forgot the name), you can cheat the sytem and just search for: Abs* or 16v* ... Etc . And it works jut fine ;) -

I just hope i dont have to remove my upgraded loom and wipers ;p Cause driving to two candle lights and almost no wipers is no fun at all. I know it's not about that but hey, first its engines, suspension and exhausts next it will be all the little things we take for granted now. -

Hi I will take this off you. Can you PM me your PayPal or BT details. thanks -
Yeah I'm also surprised. Im 31yrs, 4NCB and DirectLince quoted me £1400 too for my valver too. £1000 for insurance + breakdown cover + £200 for Magnex Exhaust + almost £200 for NCB... Hmm, so I nicely said goodbye to them - even though they were claiming that was competitive price! o.O Also with DirectLine one need to be aware that after a year they will just send you letter thanking you and will automatically renew insurance with them (you'll get new price and option to bail out if you want). But if you miss that, or forgot to cancel, they will sign you on for another year automatically!
