- At the bottom of your first* post select "Edit Post", - Then select "Go Advanced" - Once page reloads, there should be an input field - showign your existing title and there you will be able to change it, - When happy with changes just select "Save Changed" hope this helps * When I mean first post - it has to be the first post of the thread ps. It works fine for me. What I may suspect it may be your web browser causing some issues. Maybe try accessing forum using different web browser, like Chrome, Firefox, Opera, etc... Alternatively you can try clearing caches.

Seeing my petrol gauge almost on red, I stopped at petrol station in order to fill up. When approached to pay, some guy appeared out of nowhere and asked what is this car I am driving? So a bit shocked I replied it's Volkswagen Corrado. He said it looks very nice and also said that he saw one of these on his neighbours driveway, but for last few years it's been stood there on bricks, slowly rotting away :( Then he asked is it fast? So, I replied politely it is fast enough for me. Finally he said it's a very nice car.. and one you can very rarely see on the road - I said very honest thank you, get back to my car and drove away. Could not get rid of stupid grin the whole way back to my house...

Quick update, managed to swap over old bulbs with some brighter, bit modern versions: ... and finally fitted my in-car camera - as a safety measure from all these idiots on the roads. As you can see it's attached on some velcro so I can easily remove it at any time. My windshield have this "blueish" sun strip at the top (think it came like that with the car) and luckily it is hiding the cam very well. I have been looking from various angles from outside and it is very hard to spot there is anything there at all. Need to check how it will perform with recording and visibility, but so far I am quite pleased with the outcome. Again few pics to show... ...ah and also visited body shop and got quote for fitting N/S and O/S wings + spray and also fixing some rust around windshield area + rear arches. The quote is £680 which seem on a cheap side, but the chap seemed reasonable and genuine. However, other body shop quoted me well over a grand. Hmm... it's a bit bugging to be honest. Can a bad respray cause a lot of drama in future?

Hmm and I like very much cherry vodka mix, in order to make it follow these steps: - take 1x whiskey glass - add crushed ice / normal ice cubes (personal preference) - pour 100-150ml of cherry vodka - add slice of lemon - ... wait few minutes for ice to melt a bit and then sip slowly Fantastic drink, however due to it being sweet (it's still cherry vodka) you may have a massive hangover next day if you overdose ^^

My history with Corrado started when I was at uni (2000-2005) and my roommate used to have a black Corrado 2.0 16V, it was a fantastic car back then, it was relatively new and just made a great impression on me. From that moment I always liked Corrados, the way they look and drive. It's been always one of "them" cars for me I wish I had. So, after toying with idea for a while I decided you live only once.. ... and I finally it! My very own Corrado. Previous owner had it for 10 years, plus a lot of paperwork and apparently not too many issues... So I bought it, drove it all the way back to Leeds and it didn't skip a beat! I was extremely happy... but little I know back then about Corrado and it’s apparent Corrado curse About the car: As much as OEM as I can see and hopefully it will stay that way. Even if I have to bear consequences of the tractor look and funny looks from people in “stanced Saxo’s”. It’s from 1995, 2.0 16V - LC5M which is Midnight Blue as you know. Comes with grey leather seats (in a very nice condition!), but not heated :( Also comes with Magnex exhaust that was fitted by previous owner.. for my liking its perfect. Not too loud and not in your face, but still with a subtle growling note which works just fine. Think it compliments the car very well. Mods: * Magnex Exhaust * TT Wipers/Blades * VR6 Leather Steering Wheel * Uprated headlight loom Issues: During my ownership the car was/is rather stable. It lost its fuel tank pump and also radiator blew, hmm and had a shock leakage .. but you know nothing too serious. Ah yes.. I have an ongoing battle with ABS - which is driving me mad... and will pay any money, to anyone who is willing to come and fix it for me once and for all. Also my offside wing is rotten beyond recovery and there are few other rust problems but again nothing too serious (it’s a 17 year old car in the end) - I have a replacement wings in garage, so respray is on the agenda soon (ish). Another thing is the sunroof, which only tilts and not slides, also the directional knob on the heaters is stuck - but the heaters works fine on all settings, etc … Electrically everything else works. Car starts every time, regardless if cold or warm... As you can see, comes with “typical” issues for a Corrado... and it is my job to make it all fixed. I am a noob when it comes to mechanics or electronics, but doesn’t stop me from learning on the job - where there's a Will, there's a way! Pictures: OK, I think I bored you enough as it is, so will show you some pictures. First three is when I bought the car: This lot, from some various trips: .. and these two from few minutes ago. Hah and I fixed the most annoying rattle/squeak ever! I could hear a rattle from dashboard area for ages... what was worse, as soon as dashboard got direct sunlight and it became warm, instead of rattle it was very annoying squeak. I have checked every little screw and bit of plastic, I was even removing dashboard bit by bit over past few weeks to locate what was causing it... and, heh what a fool I was! It's shame to admit , but it was the dashboard itself, I am not sure how I didn't spot that before. Simply saying I located the bolt under scuttle area (right pain in the neck to get access to) and the bolt was loose, after 45 mins of swearing, sweating and cutting my fingers I managed to tighten it properly... and whoila no more squeaks or rattles.

Hmm, would that be of any use: http://the-corrado.net/showthread.php?45452-Replacing-the-heater-matrix-non-canada-style-max-pics&highlight=dash+removal http://www.corrado-club.ca/forum/viewtopic.php?t=8848

This is my now 1st thing on my priority list - I am trying anything that can help + don't think my battery is too good. I know this is a long shot as I am having some other codes coming up with ABS. But I am really loosing it now... had 2 different mechanics look into my issue, and nobody know how to fix my ABS for good. Previously had rear sensor code error, so sensor got replaced ABS was fixed for 3 weeks, then light came back on. Returned to mechanic and it turned out it is not possible to clear codes. Visited another mechanic (while doing some other bits) and this time it is again the same rear sensor and also supply voltage codes! ehhh... If I could just replace battery and get this fixed I would be properly happy. If not... well at least I will have a brand new battery :) There is always a positive side to everything. ps. I have same issue as you, in the morning ABS light is always on... but by the time I came back to work - if I restart engine it goes away. Car will stay stationary for few hours and we are back again with light again!

Yes it is amazing, you can get one of the best looking cars around... and then you convert it to Corsa look-a-like. With all respect and how the looks go, I think Corsa looks way better than that monstrosity. From as much as I gather Storms are quicker in reverse to normal VR, but how quick must be that C with 2 spoilers on the back?
-
Hmm I am also lost. Sorry for ignorance but I thought it is just one and the same person selling these... I am also removing my interest for now.. Sorry man, tbh drinks are forbidden in my car anyway so I am not loosing on anything.

I dunno really, I suppose it will be doing full once a week and then daily incremental or so... Any databases I had experience with were website databases, and they were like max 1GB - and that was huge database for a typical website! That is why was surprised of the 12GB size of our forum, but I bet it is also storing all pictures etc... and we have a lot people, and also forum was for a while... so maybe 12GB is not that big. I'm only guessing :) We are going nicely off-topic here but I don't mind as I am stuck at work... and I'm in one of these Monday moods, where I just cba do to anything!
-
Yes and no. 4TB of music and films you can back up once a month, where forum database, I presume, is backed up daily :)

Newb question: this codes are the same for 1995 16v 2l ? edit: I think I have found answer already... it says ALL Corrados are OBD 1, unless been converted to ODB 2 :(
-
This a very good advice, thanks. It works just fine searching like that.
-
Then I will take grey one, please.
-
oke doke... sounds like a good plan. Actually, you're right, very often when was searching on Google I ended up here anyway :) On a side note, 12GB - wow, bet must be nightmare for backups :(
-
In short, it's extremely easy to use forum search, until you try searching for short keywords, like: 16v, abs, vr6, oil, etc... It just returns no results. I know I can use something like "abs constantly on", etc... but it is still omitting the important keyword: "abs". I checked and when you search for 3 letter word (abs, oil, ...) it just says: "Sorry - no matches. Please try some different terms". However, when trying 2 letter word (9a or KR) it says: "The following words are either very common, too long, or too short and were not included in your search: 9a" Am I being thick or just I'm missing something obvious?

How does peanut butter work with rain? I used Mer bumper gel on some of the plastics (roof stripes and window seals) - effects were amazing! All nice and black, however, after few days of rain it all got washed away. Quite interesting to know that this "forever black" will stay for much longer... I cannot wait.. just 10days days and I am moving to my new house... and will have driveway and garage, yay! So that the proper work on car (both mechanically and detailing) will commence :) Meanwhile, I'm gathering as much intel as possible ^^

I paid £129 few months ago (that's inc delivery). Think prices vary a bit + some people have additional discounts on purchase so that counts too.
-
Oh yes... Diablo 3, I cannot wait. Not so long time ago there was an open beta weekend where anyone could play Diablo 3. To be honest Diablo I and II, Quake (mostly QuakeWorld) shaped me as a gamer... and maybe Dune and Heroes of Might and Magic :D So yes, I am going to get this 100%...

Can I ask what model/brand did you get? I want one too...
-
I do feel for you man.. and I really wish you will get it sorted in the best way for you. I'm sure everyone here will keep fingers crossed. You know ... in the end of the day, you will get pass this and things will be bright again. The sad part of all this is that, from what I have seen so far here in UK. If you are trying to be "law abiding" citizen and you pay all your bills, insurance and taxes .. you will get punished this way or another in the end! Now, uninsured drivers and people who do not pay anything... will get better off than all of us! What a lot of rubbish really! Regardless, there is always hope... wishing you all best man, just stick to it and try to get as best deal as possible.

Another week has passed... and rain? as it was raining it still rains.. non-stop! I think it is getting on my nerves a bit. I like rain, it helps everything grow... but this is too much for me. I am genuinely looking for some sunshine now... I want bbq and I want to to be able to work on my car. However, checked weather forecast and it will rain till 8th of May at least, dam.

I'm coming too - Harewood Festival is the place you NEED to be :) This is also going to be my first time in my Corrado! However, I can only come on Saturday, as on Sunday I will be flying back to Poland for my sis wedding... so, not yet sure how to organize myself... but me and my misses are coming 100% on Saturday :)
