  1. Rob, just replied to your last PM. Not sure if it sent or not? Then one to say its ok for that day? Let me know. Cheers. Del.
  2. I like the sound of that. Cheap is all i can afford right now. Wanna come upto Leicester and give the VR6 a once over and make it look all shiny and sparkly again for me?
  3. d'oh, just read through the whole of the thread and discovered that it is indeed Bally's car. I havent been using this forum all that often laley, and seem to have missed loads of stuff. Bally your car looks absolutely awesome. Truly stunning, and it's not often i say that about a Corrado. How long have you had those wheels on it? Last time i saw it was @ Stealth a couple of years ago for a rolling road, and it didnt THAT good. I think i'm going to treat my car to some TLC and detailing. I feel guilty seeing those pictures!
  4. thread revival! Flippin heck, its been that long since i fitted mine!
  5. I dont think i would ever have the time or patience to do all the work this guy has done to his brother's car, but its look so fine! Is it anyone's from here btw? Looks like Bally's car? http://www.detailingworld.co.uk/forum/s ... hp?t=78083
  6. congratulations. i remember when i got my first corrado too and the joy. Good on you. now get them pictures up!
  7. nice looking Corrado you've got yourself there.
  8. good thread Dinkus. 'bout time someone wrote a little series of tips like this.
  9. lookin good mate. The right looks shiny. The one on the left looks like it has a matt finish. is that just the picture or is one still to be polished?
  10. So do i but i dont think it exists. Lookin good Dave. Are you bringing it to Stanford Hall in a few weeks?
  11. Current VR6 was bought in August 2003. Used as a daily just about throughout the time i've had it and loved every mile of driving it. Prior to that i had a 2.0 16v which i owned for about a year or so, so all in all its been a while!
  12. Is this a good buy? http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/2001-Y-REG-TVR-CE ... dZViewItem
  13. i wish i didnt cos i they end up getting scratched and ruined no matter how careful you think you are going to be. remember if you are buying an ipod head unit, some of the early ones are crap and slow (i know cos i bought one and never use it cos its useless) could be better just buying any head unit that has an auxiliary input and use the headphone jack. that way you can control your ipod from the ipod rather than thru the head unit.
  14. good on you! Lucky man! Looking forward to seeing the pics of it.
  15. you're building an Ultima! :salute: Thats seriously cool! Keep us updated on the build!
  16. i never used to like Red before either and while i am happy with my Aqua Blue reckon Red is one of the better colours especially when its well looked after / polished properly.
  17. what are they? Is this anything to do with "common rail" or "not a common rail" diesel?
  18. Right then folks. Need your help / advice pretty please. My brother in law has just called me to say that he has accidentally filled 9.5litres of petrol in my sisters VW MK5 Golf GT TDi. The tank was almost empty and has a capacity of 55 litres. He has driven about a mile and a half in it and it drove totally fine. The AA man came out and gave him two options: 1) Take it to the dealer, pull your trousers down and bend over the desk while they pummel you good and proper. (and charge you £500 for the benefit!) 2)Put an additive in there AND fill it to the brim with diesel to dilute what is in there. Keep topping it up with diesel every 5-10 litres. He said that option 2 is a safe bet and commonly practised. As you can imagine he is worried cos its quite a new car and doesnt want to go for option 1 for obvious reasons. (and my sister will kill him when she gets back from her holiday) Over to you folks. Anyone know what to do?
  19. congratulations and welcome to the forum. Got any plans for it? (Like hitting it with the lowering stick?)
  20. i have had this problem and it was a leak somewhere in the hydraulic system if i remember correctly. The solution was to have it re-bled. The guy at the gargae said it would work fine for a few months. it's not been over a year and it is still fine. Occasionally i get the problem back but i havent done anything about it and its all good. The correct solution is to replace one or both master and clutch cylinder and check for any leaking fluid anywhere in the system (i am going from memory and am not as sharp as some people on here about the names of everything) That would cost a couple of hundred quid plus an hour or two of labour?
  21. Any joy with the search for a head unit yet Jim? There are loads on here: http://search.ebay.co.uk/search/search. ... +cd+player
  22. Corradude Which Alpine speakers do you have and where have you got them fitted? I was told that the front doors and dash spaces are so small that you are really restricted to what can go in there so i left them as stock, but frankly they are the weakest link and let the rest of it down. Jim, if you can stretch to a decent Alpine head unit, that would be a great start. I have had all sorts of other makes over the years but always find Alpine the best for sound quality. It doesn't have to be all singing all dancing. Just a decent slightly above entry level unit. I'm gonna go to see my mate that has an ICE shop. will ask his advice while i am there.
  23. I concur. You need a reasonably decent head unit Jim.
  24. I know the feeling well mate. I've owned my VR6 since August 2003 and it still just keeps making me smile.
