I agree about the BL stuff, they have alot to answer for in the 70's, wrecking the mini (I know thats BL but I like em) in the India Special annoyed me. and the hot hatch special where they trashed that mk2 gti annoyed me.

Real ale, especially Pale ones: Hereford Pale Ale (Wye Valley), Moonshine (Abbeydale), Pale Rider (kelham Island). Amazing how many others mention ale, shows how popular it is these days. Also enjoy a nice single Malt, older the better . A decent red wine, but can't drink too much of either of those (hurts). Also GIN!!!

I would happily go back to driving a petrol every day. Petrol engines are also catching up with MPG figures, look at how efficient the UP is. I still couldn't use it as a daily when I do 20k of commuting a year. The old diesel Lupo still wee's all over it in that sense. It will be interesting to see what pressures the EUI put on us to stop using diesel cars, given the miss selling of how environmentally friendly they are.

I've given up on all the new phone stuff, stick with stuff a few years older that I own outright, that doesnt cost a fortune. Much like my approach to cars! I tend to survive on Android hand me downs :smug: I'd go with the engine. As many have said Apple are a joke, my 3GS ground to a halt with all the updates that make it unusable.

Lovely Merc, hope you find it. I'm having similar issues, as I look for some of the Motorcycles my Granddad owned in the 90's (old British 70's stuff). I have a few reg numbers to go one, and a few pics. It's tricky!

Are the metric ones most useful/used for the Corrado then? (pardon my ignorance). I've vowed to start doing more maintenance myself :geek:, this set seems to be the most comprehensive I've seen. I went ahead and bought it in the end, I guess time will tell if it needs supplementing with other sockets...:dance:

It will challenge you over and over again, its what there like. Kind of have to try and enjoy the fixing and fiddling. I do, but then I don't need to rely on it as daily transport. Glad you sorted it

Lots of "chav" being banded about in that thread. Slightly off topic, but one of my misuses mates (she's no longer my mate) said: "I don't approve of that chav car on your drive" Referring to my Red VR6!? Told her "well done for buying a new 5 series on finance, that's a 'rare' car" - Not that I hate BMW's she just **** me off lol.
