Just one of these things really. You can't rely on other people to take care of your stuff in this day and age. One of the main reasons I have held back painting my own Corrado whilst it is still a daily driver. Just not worth it if it's spending time in car parks. Thankfully, being just bumper scuffs it'll not be too bad to repair.

I've got Dunlop SP Sport Bluresponse all round on my G60 and they are pretty awesome in the wet. £60 odd per tyre with free delivery from Oponeo.co.uk and came the next day which was surprising as they came from Holland.

I have one in my Corrado, but only because it was cheap. £20 off amazon. I wouldn't pay much more for one. Hard wired it into an ignition feed behind the dash so it records automatically. Supposed to be 1080p but it performs better at 720p. Youtube kind of butchers the quality somewhat and the audio is now out of sync, but it is much better hooked up to the tv or laptop with an HDMI. Car number plates are clear.

Fire wood.

Is it definitely the bolt that has broken? More common is the metal between the two bolts has fatigued and sheered buy being pulled up to hard. Happened to mine and I just hammered it all back into position and welded it. Required the seats and carpets to come out.
-
I always disconnect mine when it's sitting for any longer than a week. If anything it eliminates the possibility of electrical fire.
-
I'd say it's worth saving. But only if your welding it yourself. It's strange that the areas you mention are usually not places that rust badly. Begs the question what the usual areas are like. Front of sill, top of the windscreen frame. I assume it is just 16v or even an 8v. Both the Vr6 and G60's would command 600 in just the engine and running gear.

Ok mate will let you know before the 12th. Cheers.

Not too fussed, needs to be black but I can paint a grey one. Straps not a concern.

I'm about 50-60 mile from Loch Lomond mate, about 15 mile north of Stirling, but may be up for a drive if the weather is nice though lol.

Parcel shelf wanted. Gone 2 years without one so thought best I track one down. Cheers.

Made up my own upgraded headlamp loom. Just done the dipped beam for now but will add a third relay and hook up the full beam when I get a chance. What a difference. At night I could barely see anything before so much so that I didn't really like having it out after dark. Also the ebay special oil catch tank. It's catching a bit of oil, and a lot of condensation. I think it due to the pipe work though. Also got myself a cheap dash cam. I had a few quid left on an amazon gift card I got for Christmas. £13 I think it cost, plus £8 for a 32GB SD card. It came with a plug to go into the cigarette lighter as it needs to hooked up all the time as the battery doesn't last long. The socket on the corrado isn't great plus, in mine anyway, has a permanent 12v to it all the time. Improvised and fitted another socket behind the dash which was wired into an 12v ignition feed so the camera just comes on and records as soon as the ignition is live, and records on for 2 minutes after ignition is turned off. Routed the wire up the window pillar and along the top of the headlining. The following video is just a short 5 minute loop from earlier today. The cam is supposed to record full 1080p but I tried it on that and it just seemed to be working to hard and not that great, much better at 720p. Not bad picture, considering my suspension is rock hard. The sound is not very good, it records itself rattling. I'll probably upgrade it at some point but not bad wee thing considering the price. -
Door membranes probably, the plastic sheeting behind the door panel. If you run a hose over your passenger window, the water should come out through the drain holes on the bottom of the door and out the car. If the membrane has been breached, you'll see water coming from behind your door panel instead and will be finding its way to the passenger rear floor because it is lower down than the front. The membrane must be resealed using something like butyl strip. definitely not silicone as it won't last long.

I have a PG block up here in Scotland. Bores are good, still has crankshaft in it as I forgot to loosen the pulley bolt before stripping it so remains quite heavy. Had piston no. 1 melt but no damage to bore just some faint scuffs. Dipstick guide bent a bit. Give me a shout if interested. Jamie

Bit of heat should get them out. Had this problem loads of times on mk3 golf. When damage has occured I have even cut the last 3/4 inch off the sleeve and just adjusted the new handbrake accordingly to account for the missing section.

Unusual Corrado, not sure what I think of it TBH

Hi Fraser, Cheers bud. I bought it from a guy in Kirkcaldy, but was registered to someone from Prestonpans so not too far from Linlithgow. Maybe whoever used it commuted there. Jamie -
Mine was like that., but yours looks worse. I ended up having to chop out about 10 inches of the sill, inner sill and a section of the floor to fix it properly. Managed to cut a section of sill further back out a donor car and use that to get the correct shape for the sill and just fabricated the rest.

Wee update on the G60. Eventually got it all built back up (4 months it took me lol) and now has an MOT so back on the road for the time being. Had her out for a good blast this afternoon. She's had a refurbed subframe fitted along with wishbones, drop-links, ARB bushes and front wheel bearings. I've also fitted an oil catch tank to deal with my breather issues for now. I'm running a stage 4 charger just now on a standard pulley so I took my stage 2 apart to inspect its condition. This will have done about 60k on a standard pulley. From an initial inspection all looks pretty good. Obviously an oil seal has failed somewhere and the apex strips will be quite worn but other than that there is no evidence of any damage. It sounded fine before I took it off. I'll inspect it further but if all is well I may just replace the seals and the apex strips and build it back up with a lick of paint and new belt and bolts. My stage 4 has a little oil coming through it too so it will be getting the same treatment soon. -
My top hose let go in my G60 back in the summer. Luckily the flange still left me with 10mm of plastic to allow me to put the pipe back on. Filled it up with mineral water to get me home. The good thing is that the top hose outlet on the G60 comes off and can be replaced for a tenner. I'm not a big road racer these days but I was coming out of town and still in the 30 mph limit just chilled and relaxed when I seen a big mercedes tanking up behind me and was going for the overtake. I stabbed it in 2nd and punched it. The merc got to about level with my wing mirror before the might of the g-lader put it in it's place. Him and his boy looked saddened as the had retreat. They got a good demonstration of the active spoiler doing its thing, I can only imagine how amazing it must have looked.
-
Check both the oil feed and return to the charger are in good condition. Worth replacing the main oil feed if it has sat for a while. 400 miles in 3 years is unacceptable lol. I've done 15,000 in 2 years in mine.
-
Small set of water pump pliers is all I have ever used on the hose clips.
-
I suppose it all weather dependent really. The corrado is pretty easy to work on. The front end comes off easily and the entire engine and running gear can be slid out the front in one piece.

I had to google all of those. I remember owning a millennium falcon back in the late 80's and i'm positive I buried it in my back garden.
